SANATAN DHARMA SIMPLIFIED ... 2

SANATAN DHARMA SIMPLIFIED ... 2

Our God does not sit above the clouds or exist in a heaven of sensuous delights or even outside the universe in extracosmic space of sorts. He is omnipresent in Nature, transcendent above it and most intimately seated in the midst of our loving heart.

He is not a cruel God who divides the world into heaven-bound believers and hell-bound non-believers. He is the God of Love who exists as love in our hearts, waiting with infinite patience for us to respond to His call of love which on account of accumulated impurity through life after life we fail to even hear, much less return it with equal ardour. But He is the God of Love and does not curse, does not force us into submission to Him, does not command us to fear Him, does not threaten us with eternal or long-lasting hellfire and does not even entice us with sensuous delights in heaven. He shows us the way to desireless blessedness.

He is the God of Truth and does not permit us to lie in order to advance the cause of the Dharma. He is Truth and we must be truthful on all counts in order to reach Him within the depths of our hearts.

Above all, our God teaches us to practise rectitude and not deception. He does not brag about as being the best deceiver of all.

He is all merciful even as He dispenses justice through the instituted natural system, the inviolable Law of Karma that binds us all in cyclical birth, life, death and rebirth so long as our spiritual ignorance and material perception continues. Once we are cleansed of such dualistic desirous dross, we shall attain to Self-realisation and perennial union with Him who is the Lord of all souls, the inmost core of our being, our essence, our very own Self.

He is Me.

Brahman = Atman.

But more of that later.
