THE MUGHALS WERE NOT INVADERS ?

THE MUGHALS WERE NOT INVADERS ?

The first three Mughal rulers, Babur, Humayun and Akbar were invaders. The last three, Jahangir, Shah Jahan and Aurangzeb were born in India but owed allegiance, nonetheless, to their Turko-Mongol familial roots. Jahangir killed Guru Arjan Devji and Aurangzeb killed Guru Tegh Bahadurji. The Sikhs rose up under Guru Gobind Singhji eventually as a strong fighting unit in defence of the Dharma. We owe much to the Sikh Gurus for protecting the Hindus and saving the Sanatan Dharma, and have no reason to apologise on behalf of the invading cruel Mughals, calling them sons of the soil who had well integrated in their new motherland of Hindustan. They did not. Invaders they were and even when well entrenched in India, they undermined the Sanatan civilisation through proselytisation, destruction of our sacred sites and building mosques where our temples stood.

The whole of Islamic history in India has been a continuous saga of brutalisation of the Hindu and the replacement of his religion and culture with that of Islam. The Delhi Sultanate was especially brutal in this regard, destroying universities like Nalanda and Vikramashila that housed documents chronicling the history, culture, science and civilisation of millenia past which in effect obliterated our ancestral records of ages. The Islamic invaders put to the sword thousands of Buddhist monks, set alight their Viharas, force-converted their adherents to Islam and spread the Deen with a vehemence that for centuries the Hindu did not know when would be his last hour on earth. This was their scripturally sanctioned treatment of the polytheistic idolatrous Hindu for 1300 years and counting still in the Islamised sections of the subcontinent. It is a ghastly gory tale of ceaseless bloodshed of the kafir from 712 CE, the fall of Sindh, to Partition (1947), the genocide of Bangladeshi Hindus in 1971, the seven Hindu exoduses from Kashmir culminating in the last one of 1990 and countless other instances which for paucity of space may not be cited here.

The Mughals were powerful and they could have reversed this trend but they did not. Instead their Islamic intolerance intensified, peaking under Aurangzeb Alamgir who saw to the destruction of the Kashi Vishvanath Temple and the Shree Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple at Mathura, following in the footsteps of his illustrious ancestor Babur under whose supervision the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple at Ayodhya had been razed down. Both great great great grandfather (Babur) and great great great grandson (Aurangzeb) built mosques over the remains of these sacred shrines of the Hindus and celebrated their Indianness!
