Disgusting display of theatrical nonsense! Such nincompoops make a mockery of mass communication, messaging the Master in absurdly ludicrous terms. Sri Ramakrishna is no imbecile's plaything that he may be thus misread, misrepresented and mimicked to meanness, all the while supposing that one is doing a delightful job of it. The very title is obnoxious, the content hideous and the manner and means distasteful, utterly devoid of culture. Such portrayal of a seminal sage only exposes the hollowness of the current culture of Bengal and ought to stop forthwith. If we cannot do due reverence to the Master, then we ought to train ourselves first in the spiritual discipline of self-restraint before even contemplating representing him in public, much less actually executing such theatrical nonsense. Discretion is the mother of due deed and greater discretion would deem such despicable depiction duly dispensable. One shudders to think what might have chanced if Swamiji had not organised his brother disciples into the Ramakrishna Mission for the upkeep and maintenance of the Master's life and message. It surely would have been field day then for every imbecile to infringe every norm of cultural propriety and reduce the rarest of personalities such as Ramakrishna to ruins.
