You must have fire in your system to attain to greatness. Mere observance of ordinary, commonplace societal norms, rules and regulations does not make a champion, although, it is a good thing to do for starters. Something more is needed. And that is called fire in the belly. A blazing concentration, a dogged tenacity, a perseverance that stops not till the goal is reached and an aspiration to reach higher levels, achieve higher ends -- these constitute the character of a great individual. The constant race with time, the indomitable will to excel, the unyielding nature, the persistent effort, hope undying and an unshakeable faith in oneself -- all these make up a person who is well and truly on the road to greatness. Judge yourself against these and you will know who you are and where you stand.
