MUSICIAN OR MARKETEER?
Theirs (the genuinely great artistes of the bygone era) was genuine humility born out of real knowledge and dexterity in their art, and the vision, even if unclear, of oneself in others that Swamiji so spoke of and was not the affectation of humility so often evident these days, especially, among the so-called celebrities and that, too, most often seen in the world of classical music where pretence and self-blazoning in an indirect way camouflaged as humility have become endemic of late.
