NETAJI GROUP POST BY ADMINISTRATOR

A NOTE TO ONE AND ALL
Anyone abusing on this page will be expelled if need be. Enough of verbal vilification. One member has already been expelled. It is entirely the discretion of the administrator to judge the merit of the case. Thus far I, as administrator, have been extremely reticent in bringing myself to bear upon adult members this way but things have gone far too far and merit a change of course.

Fanaticism will not be tolerated here even in the name of Netaji and there will be space for mutual civilised debate, deliberation and discourse which ought not to degenerate to distasteful proportions. It is hereby requested that all members will comply to a code of civilised conduct, which will be self-imposed and not thrust upon any by any, where personal attacks will not be made and only the contentious point or the subject under discussion or debate will be deliberated on with mutual goodwill and enlightened inputs.

It has pained me to witness the abysmal levels to which the comment thread of a certain post has sunk and I have been squarely blamed for being too soft on the issue. But the reason I have thus far desisted to take action in the said matter is that I felt things would improve and civility would ultimately prevail. But the reverse is happening and it is time to take a stronger stance on such instances as the present one has turned into. Henceforth, all esteemed members are being exhorted to maintain the sanctity of this page remembering who the inspirational being behind it is and how we all love and honour him. However, that does not in any way mean that this page will be allowed to become a space for only eulogising without any scope for historical analysis or criticism. But, overall, we must keep the air clear of corruption, as follows a malefic intent from some sometimes, and keep the atmosphere clean for effective understanding and propagation of the life and message of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in particular and of the broader freedom movement in India and elsewhere which directly or indirectly is related to this venerable personality of our motherland.
With best wishes to all for our renewed efforts and ever in service to you all,
I remain humbly your servant,
Sugata Bose
WHAT THE PAGE STANDS FOR
The life and legacy of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, the one leader who the whole of India identifies with even today despite the conspiracies that be, the hope and aspiration of a billion Indians. Associated are the lives of great personalities of the world who have fought for the emancipation of mankind and, for sure, must have left indelible impressions on Subhas Chandra as he came into political maturity. Allied are some posts on the great revolutionaries of all times and climes but for whom the peoples of the world would have largely remained under the tyranny of malevolent forces that have afflicted the world periodically throughout history and the saga is not done yet for history repeats itself in alternate terms of thesis, antithesis and synthesis. However, the thrust of the group page is on Netaji in whose name we have assembled here to learn, study, analyse, research and discover, especially, when the hero's whereabouts post his sudden disappearance on 18 August, 1945, remain unknown, or, shall we say, known in the corridors of power but unravelled as yet by scholars from their limited access to Bose Files and so, unrevealed to the general public. We shall make our own effort here on this group page to throw light on his career and the mystery thereafter by way of our homage to him but for whom we would have been in bondage to the British for God knows how long.
Netaji was, historically speaking on the basis of hard facts, India's true liberator and we owe it to him and his valiant associates in armed revolution against the British, the Indian National Army, that we shall strive our utmost to do justice to his cause of national liberation by setting the records straight amidst historical heresies perpetrated by successive Congress Governments at the Centre in alliance with the British and who knows which other nation. We must raise an army of disciplined workers, pure and dedicated to the motherland, who will serve and sacrifice to rebuild our nation following the blueprint laid down by Netaji and his spiritual mentor, Swami Vivekananda. Jai Hind! ... Administrator (Sugata Bose)
