NATIONAL ISSUES ... 1

1. Shame on those who have drunk the milk of Mother India and then forsaken her for filthy lucre or position to settle abroad!

2. What a betrayal of the nation that the brightest who go abroad to study, a vast percentage of them return not to serve their motherland!

3. Those that vow by Netaji, let them like Netaji come back to India and serve instead of lecturing us to do so from abroad.

4. Imagine Kshudiram Bose, born in India, goes to study abroad, takes a job there and forgets the motherland. How nice would that be?

5. Such intense feeling for the motherland leaves in me no room to settle abroad. I must serve the mother till I die, then be reborn.

6. Media-men must desist from the ruckus they create on their talk-shows every night. Such circus paints our country in a poor light.

7. There is another class of people who suck the lifeblood of the nation and they stay within the country. Capitalists exploiting labour in the name of profit. Patriotism indeed.

8. Doctors make common cause with medical mercenaries to reduce hapless patients to destitution. Whither the Hippocratic Oath?

9. Who was Saraswathi Rajamani? Let us have a discussion on her life and career in the INA by way of final salute to this patriot.

10. Saraswathi Rajamani is no more. She has passed into folklore as her legend lives on daring the ravages of time.

11. We must not mutually fight but must unite for the cause of nation-building. Petty differences must be kept apart. Else, divided we fall.

12. "Amar ei deshetey janma jeno, ei deshetei mori" --- ei bhaabti besh. Kintu aaj --- "Amar ei deshetey janma jeno, bideshey baash kori" --- ei bhaabti kemon?

13. Samagra Bharatbarsha ekti mandir. Eti pabitra rakhun. Nijobyaboharer trutidwara enke kalushita korben na. Eti jathaartha swadeshprem.

14. The contrary idea must be entertained for the averred idea to fructify. The dialectical process demands it.

15. Obedience is an attribute simply absent in the average student. The will is too weak to carry out instruction. The same applies everywhere else.

16. We as a nation must cultivate character and stop basking in yestershine. Our wills will have to be strengthened and resolves realised.

17. The poor will have to be educated and empowered to strengthen the nation. This is the only way open to us for a national resurgence.
