INTRODUCE THE SANATAN DHARMA INTO THE NATIONAL EDUCATION SYSTEM

Our national education system must be made spiritual with Vedanta forming its core content as in ancient times. The physical sciences, the liberal arts and the commercial studies must all be there but the core character of the education system must be the pure Sanatan Dharma as it has been all along in Bharatvarsha till post-independence everything has been turned around.

The Sanatan Dharma forms the foundation of Indian culture and it must be absolutely incorporated into the academic system but in an enlightened manner. What often goes by the Geeta is not the Geeta. It is Vaishnava sectarianism. What we want is the universal message of the Geeta beyond all parochial bounds. Hence, there must be preparation for the course by eminent and erudite scholars whose job it will be to restructure the education system. Right now materialistic education is ruining the national mind and coarse commercialism is the consequence of all that goes by the name of education. Sanskrit must be reintroduced and access to its study made easy for all interested persons. When children are thus exposed to their glorious national past, they will feel proud of their heritage and will feel inspired to sacrifice their lot for the betterment of the nation. Swami Vivekananda is the guiding light in this grand project of national educational reconstruction.
