A sceptic is often the most progressive being. Swamiji in his youth was one such, forget not, before Thakur resolved his doubts for good. No wonder Thakur has been hailed as the massive weapon for the destruction of the demon of doubt (sangshaya raakshasa naasha mahaastrang). Did Swamiji doubt again? Oh, plenty of times, but each time his doubt was dispelled by the grace of the Master who inspired in him divine realisations that laid the uncertainties to rest and secured for him the certitude of immediate spiritual perception.
