Cowards alone poke fun at ordinary souls for their supposed gullibility in choice of Guru even as they themselves remain immersed in worldliness unlike those supposed fools whose Guru may be castigated casually and with impunity as 'Goru' or the cow. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof and shameless is the exposition of one's meanness in casting darts by way of such castigation!
Forget not that Sri Ramakrishna had such a high regard for Gurus that he hardly ever --- barring the odd and rare exception in his protracted spiritual life --- spoke foul like this and had made his epic pronouncement thus : ''Jadyapi amar Guru shnuri bari jay, tathapi amar Guru Nityananda Ray.'' (Even if my Guru visits the tavern, he remains my Guru, nonetheless, by name, Nityananda Ray.) Elsewhere, Sri Ramakrishna has poked fun at unqualified Gurus, too, when he said : ''Hego Guru tar pedo shishya'' (Shitti Guru and his faarti disciple), but for Thakur to do so is one, and for someone else with hardly any credibility to speak thus, is another.
Valour demands openness and not clandestine attempts to malign. It is thus meet that civility be maintained in social discourse and criticisms, if they are to be made by any, such a one must be man enough to openly shoot arrows instead of hiding behind vague and ambiguous language, hardly civil, but pretentious at that, for the offender carries neither the courage of conviction nor the character to come out into the open and clear his breast of all meanness in intent in the name of awakening social consciousness about pertinent issues.
A last word, in case there is any misconception in the mind of any as to who this post is aimed at. This post is not my self-analysis and is not being aimed by myself at myself. The offender knows pure and clean as to who or what this post is aimed at.
