When devotees visit Belur Math, they may take the opportunity to visit Nilambar Babu's Garden House nearby where the Ramakrishna Math was headquartered post Alambazar Math and prior to its permanent location in Belur Math. Here, on the terrace, Holy Mother performed the austerity called 'Panchatapa' along with Yogin Ma and Golap Ma, and it was here that Swamiji initiated Miss Margaret Elizabeth Noble with the sacred vow of brahmacharya and named her Nivedita.
