THE PERIL AHEAD AND THE CALL OF THE HOUR ... 7

THE PERIL AHEAD AND THE CALL OF THE HOUR ... 7

Conversion is a sin against God and man. It goes against the natural order which by the principle of association settles the earthly dispensation of a person. Religions that have thus far converted vast sections of humanity to their fold have done a great damage to cultures and peoples.

We as a nation have been ravaged by Islamic conversion for a over a millenium and Christian conversion for over five centuries and our own spiritual culture has been much thwarted by such aggression. We are as much to blame for it even today when we fall into the pitfalls of conversion to have marital alliance and oftentimes positional gain in society. This is a sacrilege and we as Hindus ought to desist from it. Moreover, we must treat our fellow men well, especially, those belonging to the depressed classes and castes who must be given equal social rites as the rest of us. Only then will we stand strong as a community against foreign cultural aggression and internal demographic threat.

Over a billion strong Hindus, if they work positively with a singular thrust on observing dharma, can usher in peace and harmony on earth without compromising on their essential identity. It is the future of Hinduism that is so intimately connected with the well-being of the world that makes its survival as a potent force for peace and harmony so very vital for the world.

Should Hinduism be weakened by internal conflict and external attacks, it will be the world that in consequence will be debilitated and humanity will have to pay a mighty price for it. The Partition of India created The Islamic State of Pakistan and today it is the hub of global terrorism. So, there you see how harming the Hindus eventually backfires on the whole of humanity and it is best that from the instance provided in Pakistan that the world gets to learn this lesson and desists from attempting to debilitate the Hindu people.
