The medieval world is giving way to modernity everywhere and, hence, the tussle is on between the two, the tussle for transition, the movement of the one to the other. Reason is giving sledgehammer blows on the citadels of faith and blind belief, and cultures are inevitably in clash. It has been a sad spectacle thus for the past several centuries as Europe emerged from the dark ages into the sunshine of life but not before it had paid a heavy price to engineer such change.
