COURAGE, BE THOU CONSTANT COMPANION TO ENLIGHTENED HUMANITY

Courage, my friends, courage. Courage to confront evil masking itself as comfort for the common man, the sort you would muster to eliminate the scourge of coarse culture, sacred or profane, who cares? Courage of conviction, courage to articulate, courage to live by the principles of freedom, courage to fly to sublime heights, to fall into subliminal depths, courage in the teeth of death when hell awaits you here on earth and heaven recedes as a distant dream. Such courage manifest if you are men and defend the priceless gift of freedom bequeathed unto you by your illustrious and illumined forefathers who dared the heavens and the hells to bring life here on earth unto such fruition.

Let nothing stand in the way of your right to free expression, your fundamental freedom to debate and discuss issues, be they of any kind, for in such deliberation, such exercise of free speech is the pulse of a democratic polity vibrant with vital life-breath. But courage must form the basis of all such endeavour, for resistance to liberty will be galore, and they must be met with the might of character forged in the crucible of critical thinking and a purity of purpose that knows no hypocritical assumptions or superficiality of involvement, shirking at the critical moment when danger threatens preferred safety. Hence, courage must be the essential element of this, the preservation of character and the defence of freedom, the inalienable principles of progressive civilisation.
