WHERE'S THE BAN?
WHERE'S THE BAN?
Private schools can teach Hinduism, I guess. There is no ban on it. The Constitution prohibits religious instruction in fully State-funded educational institutions as per Draft Article 22 (Article 28 of the Constitution of India, 1950) which was debated in the Constituent Assembly on 7 December, 1948. So, it is up to the Hindus to open schools where Hindu scriptures will be taught. If Hindus privately do not take the initiative of teaching Hinduism to children and instead keep blaming the Government for not allowing Hindu religious education in fully State-funded academic institutions, they will be failing in their duty to Dharma. Self-help in such a case is the best help.
