ROTTEN AT THE ROOT

Protest as well against ISKCON'S founder Acharya Srila Prabhupada's ill-conceived and abusive statements made against Sri Ramakrishna, Swami Vivekananda, the Ramakrishna Mission monks, Sri Aurobindo, Gandhiji, Swami Chinmayananda and women who form half of humanity. Why target the branch when the root itself is rotten? Amogh Lila Prabhu has been doing reprehensible rounds of mockery on Sri Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda but he is just the effect. Address the foundational cause which Srila Prabhupada represents.

Intolerance has been ISKCON'S stance since inception and the tradition continues. Ramakrishna Mission which Dr. Karan Singh had called 'the crest-jewel of the Hindus', has been ISKCON'S prime target because it poses the greatest impediment in its way to overrunning West Bengal and thence India with its patently intolerant creed. Even in USA at its origin, ISKCON faced questions about its narrow theological stance from educated people who cited the universal philosophy propounded by the Ramakrishna Mission. To counter this, Srila Prabhupada went about vilifying Ramakrishna-Vivekananda and the Ramakrishna Mission along with any Indian held in repute in the West who he perceived as his potential adversaries. To name a few---Sri Aurobindo, Swami Chinmayananda, Gandhiji who he vilified, generally with his pet adjective 'rascal'. In summation, therefore, leave the shoot and tackle the root if you wish to root out this problem of periodical vilification of luminous personages such as Ramakrishna emanating from ISKCON.
