THE FREE WORLD AND ITS ETHICAL OVERPLAY

We may have advanced in science and technology but we are still barbarous brutes fighting each other for political supremacy. The West, the so-called free world, leads the charge of this barbarism. With their military might the US and the UK, along with their other allies in France and the like, impose their hegemony on the rest of the 'bound world' on the basis of the primitive principle, 'might is right'. The consequence is neo-colonialism, its depredation and destruction, havoc wreaked on subjugated nations like Vietnam, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Libya, Afghanistan and countless others who have paid and are paying the price in terms of millions of lives lost, 'whole nations destroyed' (refer, Vivekananda, Chicago Address, 11 September, 1893) while the good God oversees the proceedings in utter unconcern.

Those who are enamoured of freedom in the West ought to ponder on its implications on the rest in terms of human horror unleashed with absolute impunity. The United Nations have failed the suppressed peoples of the world as the US and its wily ally, the UK, have carried on with their overt onslaught and covert carnage on nation after nation throughout the 20th century and beyond till date. No chemical weapons were after all found in Iraq for which the country was destroyed. Pearl Harbour was avenged by nuking Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The gruesome tale can be told in far greater devastating detail but suffice unto the day is the evil thereof.

Spirituality is only in name, not in practice. Capitalism in all its brutality reigns after communism in its barbarous manifestation worldwide was vanquished and obliterated. The beast in man reigns as man has chosen to forsake the wisdom of the saints and the sages. It is might determining policy all the way. After all, might is right. Right? Meanwhile, let our brightest ones go and serve the West. That serves them best. Doesn't it?
