GIVE UP THIS VAIN IMITATION OF THE WEST

GIVE UP THIS VAIN IMITATION OF THE WEST

Do not imitate the West. Ill doth it befit you to do it. We are Indians and we should proudly uphold our national culture dating thousands of years. These Western nations are newborn and immature. We have much to learn from them of science and technology, true, but much more to teach them of culture and civilisation rooted in spirituality. Only the Hindus can teach them the art of the inner life in all its philosophical profundity, in all its practical applicability so that human civilisation may  be saved. This we must do. To do this we must prepare ourselves. We must build character, accumulate spiritual power and only then may be spread out across the globe with the message of the Sanatan Dharma wherein alone the science of human liberation from earthly vanity has been studied in depth, deliberated in detail and formulated in aphorisms that contain the highest and the deepest wisdom. To achieve this be proud of your heritage flowing down the mountainous precipice of the Himalayas in the form of the divine Ganga, the Vedas running through the bloodstream of the humanity that is India. Do not believe in the atheists, in the agnostics, in the antitheists, in the materialists of all dimensions and dispensations. Hold onto tradition, the hoary heritage, the life-giving legacy of the scriptures, the lives of the sages, the rishis of age-old Aryavarta. Study Vivekananda and become men. It is futile to live like an imbecile squandering life's golden opportunity to realise the higher ends, to sell one's soul to money as we are now witnessing in deluded, hypnotised, self-oblivious souls who have forsaken the motherland to buy the pleasures of life in the West. Be not like them but serve, serve the motherland like your earthly mother, like your Divine Mother, and be a blessing unto mankind. Imitation is cheap. Losing self-identity is suicide. Cast off these and be men and women with a purpose, that of nation-building through renunciation and service. Vivekananda has spelled it out all. Read his works and revel. Then pour out your soul at the altar of the motherland. This is your dharma.
