STATEMENT OFF THE SOUL ... 11

1. How wonderful that some researchers hide behind veils even as they have their proteges speak for them!

2. Ramakrishna was not merely a saint. He was an incarnation of divinity. He set aflame the soul of Vivekananda who in turn ignited the fire of revolution in the heart and mind of young India. The cataclysm to follow changed the course of world history and reset its direction along a new line.

3.  Netaji tangled in untruth through no fault of his in this land of Truth where the moving mantra is 'Satyameva jayatey'. How amazing!

4. Dear friend, wake up to the nuances involved and your appreciation of the perfidies perpetrated on Netaji will have gained ground. The untruth is not of Netaji but the tangling is his sufferance on account of the untruth of his adversaries.

5. So are we all, ideally speaking, for we are the Atman in essence. But in real material terms, in this world of rough clay where perfidy is perpetrated on innocence, where might is right and falsities abound, Netaji's cause did take a terrible beating, historically speaking, and no amount of personal veneration can do away the injustice that has been meted out to him. To be not able to see this clearly would amount to dereliction of duty as a devotee.

6. If you choose to sleep, I ought not to wake you up. If the sufferance of Netaji at the hands of his enemies at home and abroad, if the calumny heaped on him by giving a celibate enforced marriage and progeny thereof, if the lies recorded in history about him as a fascist dictator in the making, if as the liberator of India that he was, he was denied entry into free India by the then dispensation in power, if a live man was given conditions such that he had no place in this world to set foot on save to invite being labelled and tried as a War Criminal and had to in consequence live on as a 'registered' dead man in the hope of the furtherance of his mission of freeing India from the Anglo-American tentacles, if all these penalties that he had to bear from near and far ones do not move you to distress and allow you the luxury of voicing your unique education and circumstance to suit your appraisal of Netaji in an unhistorical manner under the cover of idealistic adherence, I welcome you to my mansion of differential thinking where we shall abide divergent devotees of the seminal spirit that Netaji was and ever shall be in the minds of all sincere seekers of love and truth.

7. Let researchers come forth and voice their views in the broad daylight. Such transparency is the call of the hour, such directness the dire necessity of the cause.

8. The Transfer of Power documents related to what the British had decided they would have done to Netaji were he to be captured alive are proof enough that there had never been any air-crash that had killed Netaji. The Government of India should be ashamed of its complicit role in this perfidy and of its compliance with the heinous conditions of its treaty with the British Government to hand over India's only War Criminal to the Allies for justice. Nehru's letter to Attlee labelling Netaji as such is a pointer to the fact that it is no exaggeration to state that the Indian Government is bound by some sort of agreement with the British to hand over their liberator to the enemy's hands. The present government is playing the same tune, off-beat and off-scale, though, to the delight of some, to the dismay of many and to the sheer indifference of the multitude that lie in ignorance of the larger questions of life.

9. In me there is an army of microscopic organic units working for the maintenance of this psycho-physical self. Likewise, we must as macroscopic units work for the welfare of the nation. Herein lies the bond between the unit and the whole, and the harmony expressed as symmetry and beauty in the universe.

10. Calumny of the worst kind has failed to besmirch the reputation of India's foremost leader. How far above these falsities foisted on him does Netaji dwell! How great must be his purity, how unsullied his real living that these fabrications fall flat on him at this distance in time, although, they have considerably caused the nation harm by reducing the hero of epic proportions to a mortal of delusive dreams and carnal fallibility and, so, have robbed the nation of an ideal made flesh that would have raised it to pristine heights of glory and beyond!
