Dr. Bill Warner says that Political Islam is like a gravitating force that relentlessly pulls down a system till it has been Islamised. How true it is when we behold its fulfilment in Bangladesh today 53 years after its Liberation in 1971! Bangladesh today with the grace of the Jamaet-e-Islami under the guidance of Nobel Laureate Dr. Md. Yunus has totally turned into a hardline Islamic state with a so-called revolutionary government operating with no Constitutional sanction. Minorities, especially the mushrik Hindus are being targeted, killed, raped, their houses and villages burnt, property looted, temples vandalised, idols broken, they being forcibly converted from their glorious philosophical Sanatan Dharma of the Rishis to the mere faith-bound religion of Islam, they being forced to resign from their jobs if they refuse to convert, and they being forced to flee their habitat for possible refuge in India. The situation is dire for Hindus.

J. Sai Deepak had talked of the phenomenon of progressive Islamisation of a country in stages but ever increasing in extent and intensity at the time of each societal upheaval. This has been the history of Islam which is more a political movement and less a religion, for it has everything to do with conversion and world-domination and nothing to do with liberation of the soul from the transmigratory cycle of life, nor does it emphasise on perfect chastity as binding condition for the realisation of the Self which, though, it necessarily is, as has been recognised in all truly spiritual religions. Now, what we are witnessing today in Bangladesh is one such stage of the Islamisation of the country. This will not fully succeed in Islamising it but it will have gone a great way towards its total Islamisation one day unless modernity catches on Muslims and induces them to apostasise en masse.
