IN RESPONSE TO A POPULIST POST OF POOR POLITICAL PROPAGANDA PROPPED UP BY PEOPLE, PREJUDICED AND PREDISPOSED IN A JUDGEMENT ABOUT HISTORICAL 'HERESIES' THAT NEED INVESTIGATION BEFORE PRONOUNCEMENT BY WAY OF FINAL DAMNATION IN THE LAWCOURT OF THE LAWLESS AS IT HAPPENS WHEN THE MOB BECOMES THE MASTER OF DESTINY

Hindu-Muslim unity must be maintained after all ! But it is not true that their (the Mughals') gory deeds of destruction are not mentioned in books. One only needs to educate oneself a bit to come across graphic descriptions of it galore. However, educationists, perhaps, think that it is best not to harp on the negatives of history at the secondary and higher secondary levels to avoid poisoning young minds with a convoluted, disproportionately stressed history. But at the higher levels of undergraduate and post graduate study there is plenty of material available to students to assess our historical past in the right light, though not as per one's indoctrinated presuppositions and predilections thereof. It needs scholarship to understand historical imperatives and the rigour of narration of history thereof. Today, there is this political tendency to oversimplify history as per the charted-out agenda of ignoramuses, which is quite unscientific an approach. This is spreading widespread misinformation and corrupting minds needlessly. I wonder how many ardently take to the study of history of those who keep carping at historical misrepresentations. It is purely the puerile assertions of the innocent in historical lore who vent their misgivings thus. It were far better if these ones were to take to the serious study of all available sources of history to arrive at an unbiased, balanced assessment of it and then if they were to rewrite their version of it. Fortunately some notables are doing so but meanwhile the majority keep howling as they have been doing so in all climes since ages to give vent to their frustrated hopes and desires in quite other spheres, totally unconnected to history. This petty political bashing up of the perceived opponent is, after all, the soft channel of the hardened heart's expression in a mighty, deliberate innocence of the history already available. And they call themselves the denied divinities at the hands of secular devils, although they are 'patriots' perverted by self-will !
