It breaks my heart to see how Swamiji's message has been diluted and diluted and diluted over the years till such virility aroused by him in his person and the volcanic words flowing out from his lips have been replaced by emasculate passivity masquerading as divine devotion while the masses suffer the rigours of their age-old servitude and the rich exploit their life's labour to fill up their coffers brimful. The revolutionary words of Swamiji that had sparked off the Indian freedom struggle in its most masculine phase have now been reduced to ashes. There is no follower of Vivekananda anymore. It is all a degenerate derivative of the divinity of the 'Patriot-Prophet', an expression in compromised terms along convenient lines devoid of the early promise, a befallen fate about which even Swamiji in his twilight years had despaired. Let us then revisit Swamiji ; let us relive his years in us ; let us fulfil him in realised dreams and aspirations. Vande Mataram !
