WHEN LIKENESS OF SOUND REVEALS
The enemy is in me. Mark the similarity of sounds in the words 'enemy' and 'in me'. Therefore, self-cleansing is the best way to deal with the perceived enemy outside for it is very often a concoction of the egocentric mind rather than an actual outside threat. And even if the enemy be there outside in real, the enemy within oneself has to be dealt with first before the external adversary may be dealt with with sufficient strength and overcome. The inside of oneself having been cleansed, the mind purified and conceptions clarified in the clear light of reason and realisation, the agencies of destruction waiting outside can be dealt with adequately to one's security and self-preservation. This is the sine qua non of the political dispensations throughout the world, for politicians who decide the fate of nations and determine the course of human history to a very large extent must be cleansed of ulterior motives and motivations before they can be expected to do genuine welfare work for their nations and the world. This self-purification is the subject matter of spirituality.
