ADAM DEEN AND BILL WARNER IN DEBATE
Adam Deen is disingenuous. He deflects discussion as opposed to Dr.Bill Warner who absolutely sticks to his point with clear logic and citing concrete instances. A classic case of the apologist versus the truth-teller, deception versus revelation. Adam Deen has done a disservice to the counter-terrorism cause by mischievous manoeuvring of the course of the debate and was clearly uncomfortable when faced with a formidable adversary who held all the aces in the palm of his hand, his discomfiture being clearly evident in his sustained stuttering and almost hopping and skipping course while Dr.Bill Warner maintained a calm constancy, unruffled and candid, with sharp points which Adam Deen could do nothing by way of countering. This is why they say that truth triumphs. The audience was left in no doubt as to who was speaking the truth and who was hiding it. Unfortunately, Dr.Warner was not given time enough by way of pressing his points and was only defending his stance against Adam Deen's barbed offensives which ultimately degenerated to a condescending comment on what Dr.Warner ought to do best with his life. Clearly, by then Deen had lost his wits as he had been exposed fair and square. Not once did Bill Warner make any personal attack on Adam Deen but at the every outset of the discussion Deen spoke of his suspicions about Warner's agenda in being 'anti-Islam' as seemed to be to Deen the case, going by the videos posted by Warner about Political Islam. This was dragging the discussion to beyond the set subject and was not only uncalled for but was unethical and ungentlemanly, to say the least. Anyhow, it seems Quilliam International needs sincere and truthful people to man its programmes on counter-terrorism and not apologists like Adam Deen who can by deflecting discussion only help the hostile elements to take the world hostage. And why so? This is because by covering up facts and compartmentalising realities as per convenient interpretation which belie the facts, Deen is playing the role of the classic apologist and, so, helping perpetuate the problem instead of enabling its complete elimination. In this way decades will as yet pass before genuine men will rise to address the issue as it ought to be and not as it is being cleverly done to effectively aggravate it further by helping people to sleep on the real issues, the core and contentious points of this corrosive case.
