VEDANTA AND ITS ROLE IN THE FUTURE WORLD ORDER ... 1

VEDANTA AND ITS ROLE IN THE FUTURE WORLD ORDER ... 1
It is very important that the Vedanta deluges the West. Only then can the world be raised to a higher understanding of life and matters of the Spirit. The disharmonies that trouble the world spring so much from worldly religions and the foolish proponents of their puerile principles which are nowhere spiritual and hardly ever meet the sublime ethical standards that one would expect religions to reach and abide by. The Vedanta with its lofty philosophy must come in here and become the religion of thinking humanity such as the scientific community who have largely rejected kindergarten narratives about God and in consequence turned atheists. However, their search for truth continues, for it is an organic evolutionary imperative for them to move on till they come face to face with truth. Here Christianity and Islam fall terribly short of the rational standards that scientists require for them to be convinced about the veracity of their arbitrary claims which science is so very opposed to on grounds of foundational rational principles.
These two proselytising Semitic religions, which are ever at each other's throats, cannot meet these scientific people on a rational basis even by massive scriptural text-torturing and, hence, largely keep their proselytising programmes among the common mass of humanity who they seduce or coerce into brainwashed conviction of utterly fallacious and false theories. The religion of Christ, though, in phases is way better, in it being more benign in principle at least, than its more violent younger Semitic sibling. The Sermon on the Mount, if interpreted properly in the light of Hindu thought, approximates to some of the noble principles of the Sanatan Dharma. But elsewhere it fails as well. However, through it all, the sublime all-loving personality of Christ shines. Such an affirmation, though, cannot be made about Islam.
Both the religions have tried to control populations for ages, force-converted people and 'sent civilisations to despair', to quote Swami Vivekananda, with their violent proselytising zeal. Throughout history they have fought each other, a protracted bloody confrontation that is best exemplified by the Crusades and the Jihads that lasted for 150 years. This massive war thereafter stopped but the skirmishes and genocides continued and continues to this day under a new name, 'Islamic terrorism'. This latter development has been holding humanity to ransom for quite some time now.
The seeds of it were sown by the British, though, by their partitioning of the subcontinent of India into India and Pakistan along religious lines demanded by the Muslims of India led by Muhammad Ali Jinnah. With the formation of the first Islamic Republic of the world, future terrorism in the name of Islam was given international support unwisely and, perhaps, unwittingly, too. Little did the West dream that in trying to contain the Soviet communist expansion into the Indian subcontinent, they were creating conditions for an equally adverse global scenario in potential Islamic terrorism.
Here we are now post 9/11 in a world fractured along multiple lines where confrontation is the common denominator and peace the only requirement. And it is here that the Vedanta must play its long-awaited responsible role and lead humanity out of this foolish fratricidal fight unto the shining realm of peace and harmony, for the Vedanta alone has the answers to the contending questions that in collision threaten to destroy the world.
