2. Submission, surrender is not subservience. It is attaining to oneness with the Divine Beloved, equality in identity.

3. I do not want a whole host of toxic 'friends' and 'followers'. A few devoted, sincere and loving ones will do.

4. Braahman, kshatriya, vaishya, shudra - the heirarchical height does not matter. It is the depth, equally accessible to all four varnas, that counts. Liberation is for all, no discrimination in religion at all.

I was told by a Vivekananda biographer that he would donate when Thakur allowed him to do so. All that he does in my groups and has been doing all these years is publicize his own books. Heartless! I told him that he should breathe then only when Thakur allowed him him to do so and he said,"Obviously." This is the despicable state of devotion.  It killed Swamiji. It will kill him if he comes again.

Unless the devotees en masse galvanise themselves unto coordinated aggregate work it is an exercise in futility -- this raising the masses and spreading spiritual consciousness across the world. Human apathy is abysmal in India to human misery that is so widespread.

In vain is scholarship if selfish miserliness vitiates effort. Hypocrisy all the way!

17. Sri Ramakrishna disliked miserliness.

18. It is difficult to accept effeminacy masquerading as religion. Manhood was Swamiji's last gospel on earth.

19. Mediocrity in every sphere today masquerades as excellence. Sad demise of culture!

20. The heart of the matter is that we are heartless. Else, how could we carry on with our selfish preoccupations in the face of the grinding poverty that hundreds of millions experience to literally die each moment that they live?

21. The universe is a single body with flexible parts. Hence, diversity results from separate movements of components consequent upon exhalation and inhalation of the breath of Brahman. It is the paradox of the Part and the Whole.

28. What we need is purity in the heart, vigour in the veins, indomitable courage of conviction and the will to collectively work for the emancipation of the masses. 34. Hypocrites I don't befriend. Be one and I unfriend you. Speak against the Sanatan Dharma and against India's interests and I block you.

40. Output is so less as input energy is wasted well to oil the machinery beyond bounds. Vivekananda warns otherwise. He is coming to resettle humanity. But who cares for what he or his Master says?

43. Egotism is not self-confidence, rather, quite the reverse.

44. Our parents were born under the British. We were born free. But what have we made of that freedom? Hundreds of millions live in ignorance and abject poverty. We who vaunt our education, are we not going to bear the responsibility of raising them to a life of decency and well-being?

46. God has given free everything and does not advertise. But men after giving a pittance to the poor make a show of it. Whose wealth is it that you thus dispense with? What can you give free to others when nothing fundamentally belongs to you?

You can read up 'The Complete Works of Swami Vivekananda' to arrive at a clear conception of Swamiji's views, objectives, plans and programmes about India and her destiny. Why waste your time and energy bothering me to supply you the necessary details? Are you not active enough to study the same on your own thoroughly and arrive at an illumined understanding of the same?

61. সত্যের চেয়ে আর স্বার্থ নেই | এই সত্যপরায়ণতাতেই বৃহত্তর স্বার্থ সর্বাধিক রক্ষা পায় | সত্য গেল তো সব গেল, ক্ষুদ্রতর স্বার্থ, বৃহত্তর স্বার্থ, ব্যষ্টিস্বার্থ, সমষ্টিস্বার্থ, সব | স্বামীজী বলতেন, "সত্যের জন্য জগতের সব কিছু ত্যাগ করা যায় কিন্তু কোন কিছুর জন্য সত্যকে ত্যাগ করা যায় না |"

62. Please look after the elderly. Do not neglect them. Do not let them suffer.

Personality depends on character, character on repeated good actions and actions on self-effort which in turn depends on initial grace and the affording of essential elements to carry on the crusade against primeval ignorance till illumination releases the soul from the thraldom of this intoxicating universe of dissolving dreams.

68. The Sanatan Dharma is founded on the primacy of principle over personality. But Hinduism today in practice is largely personality over principle. This is a departure from its pristine principles.

69. Nandalal Bhattacharya is supposedly a researcher on Sri Ramakrishna. Yet, he casually runs into error when he calls Brahmananda Keshab Chandra Sen as Brahmabandhav Keshab Chandra Sen, evidently mixing up his honorific with that of the first name of Bramhabandhav Upadhyay. This is the sad state of research these days. Alas! when will we more accurate in our observations? Moreover, it sounds so jarring to hear from the lips of this less than reverent person the address of the Avatar of Dakshineshwar as Ramakrishna instead of the more respectful Sri Ramakrishna by which he is commonly referred to. It seems that this gentleman does not possess fundamental delicacy of taste to speak about such a venerable one with greater reverence. Bengal, thou wert irreverent to these greats in the past and thou continue to be so even today!

Swami Akhandananda did not start relief work at Sarisha in Murshidabad but at Mohula in Murshidabad. Nandalal Bhattacharya is making terrible errors in recounting history.

This video, no doubt a noble endeavour by way of preparation for the great day of 1 May, 2022 which will be the 125th anniversary of the Ramakrishna Mission, is, nonetheless, littered with factual errors. This ought not to be. Data divergence such as this is regrettable and not expected from a country that this year will be celebrating its 75th anniversary of attainment of dominion status that later evolved to complete independence on 26 January, 1950. A progressive modern nation ought to function better. On the contrary, with the passage of the years and with increasing ease of access to information, it is a reverse trend that we are witnessing in India, the increasing slipshodness in reporting on historical episodes. This decline in academic culture is a pointer to the general degeneration of culture itself in our country.

@Nilanjana Chakraborty : Then see to it that every action of yours speaks only of vidya and none that of avidya even in the slightest measure.

@Sharmistha Chatterje : You may not dedicate yet but I have from early youth given my all to Swamiji albeit with all my follies and foibles which he has always forgiven and egged me on. And I have inspired others to do the same. Moksha is too low a goal, too selfish a claim for oneself while the vast mass of humanity lies in bondage in each of whom I alone am present. Why are you so self-obsessed? Can you not look beyond yourself?

78. A strange God is this One that divides the world into believers and non-believers, into Heaven-goers and Hell-goers. God, indeed! What a joke for us, Hindus, to even contemplate such a One! And they wish to convert us to their fold. Children's prattle!

87. Sometimes one wonders whether man is a free board to be kicked about by fellow human beings. If karma has to take its toll with unforgiving precision, then humanity is doomed. Whither mercy, O Merciful One, to save the individual from daily desecration, to save civilisation from self-destruction?

89. অসংস্কৃত জীব দিবারাত্র অপরকে অপমান করে | বোঝে না যে বস্তুতঃ তারা নিজেদেরই অপমান করছে কারণ আত্মা অভিন্ন ও এক, মাত্র দেহমন পৃথক বোধ হচ্ছে অবিদ্যাবশতঃ |

90. Idling in work is not good. That amounts to cheating the employer to one's salary, being in the worst case scenario a wage-thief.

91. There are so many that talk of their great desire to get spiritual joy despite pursuing selfish worldly interests unfailingly. There are others who bear a different attitude altogether. They say, "Who cares for spiritual joy while the teeming millions suffer lives of inhuman indignity in ignorance, poverty, destitution, disease and death?" These latter ones are not to be deemed unspiritual. In them the flame of spirituality burns brighter. They do not wish to eat the mango alone but wish to share it with others. They are Thakur-Swamiji's true children.

92. তীর্থের নামে মানুষ দেশ বেড়ায়, ভুলে গেছে যে সচল তীর্থ মানুষ নিজে |

93. On the eve of the 125th anniversary of the founding of the Ramakrishna Mission let us make a solemn resolve to awaken our spiritual power for the service of humanity.

94. Awaken your spiritual power for the service of humanity. Root out selfishness, even the slightest trace of it from your system. Then shall power come. Then shall illumination be. Then will you be a worthy channel of service to the living gods and goddesses. This is the message on the eve of the 125th anniversary of the founding of the Ramakrishna Mission.

95. আধহাত ওপরে, আধহাত নীচে -- এই ভক্তিলাভের উপায় | এখন মানে বোঝা চাই | অর্থাৎ, যতখানি বহির্মুখীন জীবন (মাটির ওপরে -- জীবনবৃক্ষের কাণ্ড) ততখানিই আভ্যন্তরীণ জীবন (মাটির নীচে -- জীবনবৃক্ষের শিকড়) হওয়া চাই | তবেই হবে, নচেৎ নয় | এই সাম্য ন্যূনতম রক্ষা ধর্মজীবনের পক্ষে অপরিহার্য |

96. The elitist approach and attitude must be given up and identification with the masses achieved if one aspires to realise God. The exclusive way leads not to the royal avenue to godhead.

97. Scholarship is good but infatuation with it a serious impediment to spiritual progress.

98. The way to enlightenment is not by misinterpreting mythology but by smashing the myth of this universe.

100. The upperclass Indian mind must be de-Anglicised and de-Americanised. Imitation is dangerous.
