WHY ARE HIGHLY LITERATE BENGALI HINDUS 🕉 SO PRONOUNCEDLY ANTI-HINDU IN MENTALITY? IS STUDY IN CHRISTIAN ✝️ MISSIONARY SCHOOLS RESPONSIBLE FOR IT?

Perhaps, perhaps not. I have myself studied in a Catholic school but was never influenced by the priests in any way to grow into being disrespectful towards India or Indian dharma and culture. I have taught countless students of these Christian ✝️ missionary schools and never found them having been influenced so. However, your experience may be different and I am glad that you have shared it. It is quite possible that elsewhere such influencing has been going on to which I, in my isolation, am not privy to. If so, and if children groomed in such a way hold teaching positions in colleges and universities, they could significantly influence the youth to be anti-Hindu, perhaps. I, however, feel that the reason for highly literate Bengali Hindus 🕉 being pronouncedly anti-Hindu has more to do with the way we define Hinduism today and the way we see someone belonging to its 'for' camp or 'against' camp, as also because of the current state of socioeconomic and intellectual evolution of the upper intelligentsia among the Bengali Hindus. The progress of thought and progressiveness among the Bengali Hindus has, perhaps, brought them to that intermediary station where they are distancing themselves from its politically pursued popular forms, barring joyous participation in Hindu festivals of course, and coming closer to its emphasis on rational thinking, a step away from realisation of essential spiritual principles. This is by way of evolutionary advancement whose unstoppable progress must be towards philosophical thinking leading to discovery of the pristine principles of the Sanatan Dharma en route to realising them. This is a temporary phase in evolution when the rigidities of religion, social observances, modes and mores, caste and customs, class and privilege are being given up, -- in mind alone, though, for the flesh is often weak and yielding -- and a new-found bohemian freedom of sorts is being sought. The other major reason, I think, is pure sensuality, this constant undercurrent, the craving of the carnal life, carefully camouflaged in high-sounding Marxian principles and utopian revolutionary ideas and ideals, which the highly literate Bengali Hindu in his present state of evolution finds most gratifying organically and intellectually, which makes him rebel against all religious restraint into becoming a caustic critic of every custom of his creed which he deems restrictive to his uninhibited sense of freedom. Where freedom degenerates into licence, this intoxicated class of Bengali Hindu has no clue to as he is now in party-mode prior to the Christmas morn. God bless such intoxication as the enervation to follow will set this highly literate Bengali Hindu 🕉 in his post PhD class on the pristine philosophy of the Vedas!
