AT THE BREAK OF DAWN WHEN THE BHAIRAVI SINGS

AT THE BREAK OF DAWN WHEN THE BHAIRAVI SINGS

The best way in life is to be humble and simple and to be resigned to the Lord who is the sole arbiter of things. For His is the form one clams to be one's own and unto Him belongs the power and responsibility to conduct its course. The sense of self-possession is but a delusion, a shadowy hold, a conspired clutching of someone else's wealth while the holder, brought into fictitious being by delusive Maya, lengthens his shadowy self till at sundown it disappears in the dark night or in high noon is lost in the blaze of illumination. Such being the destiny of man, it is puerile to pursue perishing dreams. Better by far is to realise the fleeting fancies as being productive of pain and to resign unto life's highest end, that of smashing the dream itself that so holds it in pleasure and pain in alternate bands of delight and despair. Humility helps, simplicity solves this intractable problem called life and so have these attributes been highlighted as being the hallmark of the great who have attained to heights of excellence, acquired stations in knowledge and light. Let us be such and come to terms with our wretched earthly existence and pass into 'peace that passeth understanding'.
