ANTARA SADHU ... 1

LETTER 1:

Dear Antara,                                  13.10.2025

     Life is a golden opportunity for realising God. This human birth is difficult of attainment and the human body the fittest instrument for God-realisation. There are seven planes of consciousness called Saptabhumi in the Vedas. In the Tantras we find them referred to as Shaŕachakra. The seven planes are MULĀDHĀR, SVĀDHISHTHHĀN, MANIPUR, ANĀHATA, VISHUDDHA, ĀJNĀ AND SAHASRĀR. They are located in the spinal column beginning with the point corresponding to the tail bone and ending in the sacral plexus of the brain.

LETTER 2:

Dear Antara,                                   14.10.2025 

      Try to be of some support for the Sanātana cause. Study the scriptures---the Kathāmrita, the Bhagavad Gīta, the Shrīmad Bhāgavatam, the Complete Works of Swami Vivekananda, the Āshtāvakra Samhitā, the Yoga Vāshishtasār, the Vivekachuřāmani and the like. Chant a lot, meditate on God and maintain purity. In silence accumulate power. Do not waste energy over trifles. Build your spiritual life and spread the message of the Sanātan Dharma around.

LETTER 3:

Dear Antara,                                  15.10.2025 

      Life is for education through experience and not for pleasure, Swamiji says. The scriptures direct us how to live our lives meaningfully with the ultimate aim of God-realisation. Dharma means that which holds us in this tempestuous sea of life where the waves relentlessly lash against us trying to drown and destroy us. Here the Guru is the helmsman who guides the boat to safety, steering it over the rising billows deftly and with care. Devotion to the Guru is thus of prime importance. The Shāstras equate the Guru with God because it is God who has assumed the form of the Guru to guide the disciple (shishya/shishyā) in this turbulent sea of karma where the darkness of delusion obscures vision of the Supreme Reality hidden in the depths of the spiritual heart. The Guru is all-merciful, the incarnation of sublime love and kindness whose gracious glance helps liberate the struggling soul from the cycle of transmigratory terrestrial existence. The Guru is thus to be adored, worshipped, loved and served to secure his pleasure and grace. The Gury pleased, liberation is at hand for the disciple. 

The daily dhārmic disciplines are to be dutifully performed and gradually intensified till they become sources of joy. Then progress becomes fast. Faith in the Guru leads to God-realisation. But faith means doing his bid. Regular communication, absolute obedience, humility, submission, devotion, dedication, energy and enterprise along with the foundational virtues of truthfulness, balance of mind, fortitude (titikshā) and yearning for the Truth are the prime requisites in this path. Obedience is of prime importance, I should say. Also, a positive frame of mind. These are preparatory attributes which coalesce into supreme concentration on the Divine and lead to permanent peace. Ruminate on these.

LETTER 4:

Dear Antara,                                17.10.2025

     In this world of delusive dreams the Guru alone is the constant companion. Forsaking him even for a few days is detrimental to one's spiritual growth. The Guru is God and hence must always be pleased by all means and never in any way displeased. In the Guru's pleasure lies the happiness and well-being of the shishyā. Erratic behaviour with anybody is bad enough but with one's Guru it is utterly unacceptable. Those that do so have yet to learn basic lessons in civility and decorum which in Patanjali's Ashtānga Yoga is called 'Yama'. It is high time that you do so and start behaving well. These  excuses that you periodically posit for staying away from me are improper in the spiritual path. When a person does not value another, there comes a time when the Law of Karma removes that person from his or her vision cone for good. These must be remembered when dealing with others.

কল্যাণীয়া অন্তরা, 

   

বেশি করে জপ-ধ্যান-পূজো-পাঠ করবে | অনুশীলনের দ্বারাই মন উন্নত হয়, ঈশ্বরপরায়ণ রয় | প্রাথমিক পর্যায়ে নিয়মানুযায়ী অধ্যাত্মসাধনা চালিয়ে যেতে হয় | পরে দর্শনান্তে নিয়মের ঊর্ধ্বে ওঠে চিন্ময়চিত্ত | তখন মনের প্রশান্তিরক্ষার সাধনা চলে | ভগবান গীতায় এইরূপই বলেছেন | বল্গাবিহীন মনকে শান্ত করার উপায় গুরুপ্রদর্শিত শাস্ত্রনির্দিষ্ট পথে চলা | অভ্যাসের দ্বারা মন বশে আসে, মনে আনন্দে ভরপুর হয় | অবিদ্যানাশ না হলে জীবনের আন্দোলনে মন চঞ্চল হয়ে ওঠে, দুর্ভাবনা আসে, অহংস্ফীত হয় মানুষ | তাই গুরুভক্তির একান্ত আবশ্যকতা | এর অন্যথা যেন না হয় |

    

গুরু অনন্ত জ্ঞানসমুদ্রের পুঞ্জীভূত ঘনীভূত মূর্তি, দৃশ্যমান আবার অরূপ গুণবিশিষ্ট, পরিশেষে অখণ্ডচৈতন্যে অস্তিত্বস্বরূপ | তাঁর পরিমাপ করা যায় না | অনন্তের কি পরিমাপ হয় ? সেই অখণ্ড সচ্চিদানন্দই গুরুরূপে আবির্ভূত | এটি যে ধ্রুব জানল, বুঝল, এই বোধে স্থিত হ'ল, তারই শিষ্যত্ব সার্থকতা লাভ করল | আর যে অহংপরবশ হয়ে গুরুবিমুখ হ'ল, তার আধ্যাত্মিক গতি মন্থর হয়ে গেল | তবে গুরু অনন্ত করুণাসাগর | তাঁর দয়ার অন্ত নেই, কৃপা নিরন্তর প্রবহমান | কিন্তু সেই কৃপা এক বিনম্রচিত্ত শিষ্যা ধারণা ও ধারণ করতে পারে | 

   

মাতৃভাষায় লিখলাম কারণ মনে হচ্ছে বিদেশী বর্ণে বার্তা সঠিক মনোমধ্যে পৌঁছচ্ছে না | ভাল থাকবে সবসময় আর খুব যোগাযোগ রাখবে |
