EPISTLES TO DISCIPLES: YASHASWI KHAITAN ... 1

EPISTLES TO DISCIPLES:

YASHASWI KHAITAN ... 1

LETTER 1:

Dear Yashaswi,                               15.10.2025

You are a bright girl endowed with a selfless spirit, energetic and enterprising, with the aspiration to achieve something worthwhile in life. But you need direction in the higher imperatives of life which would make all achievement meaningful, that is, of worth beyond satisfaction of mere personal needs and satiation of desires to an extent. Philosophical clarity you need, a thorough grounding in the Sanātan Dharma which at any rate runs like a subliminal stream in your blood. But you need to be made aware of it at the conscious level for it to bear fruit in every phase of your life and make you a happy heart and a peaceful person. Herein comes my role as your spiritual preceptor (Guru) and your role as my spiritual pupil (shishyā). Submission to the higher force makes communion possible which is why Krishna says, "सर्वधर्मान्परित्यज्य मामेकं शरणं व्रज।

अहं त्वां सर्वपापेभ्यो मोक्षयिष्यामि मा शुच: ॥"

["Cast aside all earthly duties and take refuge in Me. I shall deliver thee from all sin (weakness). Grieve not."]

Therefore, ready yourself to receive with wholehearted acceptance all knowledge freely flowing from your Guru unto you. May Sri Ramakrishna preserve you and yours!

With everlasting love sublime and blessings unto you even unto achieving the highest end of life, that of God-realisation,

Gurudev

LETTER 2:

Dear Yashaswi,                              20.10.2025

The breath must always be in deep full flow for the lungs to be filled up fully and so oxygenated for deriving maximum life-force. This will also ensure calmness of mind. But never indulge in prānāyām or any other spiritual practice that I have not taught you personally face to face. Such practices could be dangerous in the absence of adequate preparation of absolute brahmacharya along scriptural lines. So, limit your spiritual practices only to what I have taught you or may in future further teach. The breath being even, peacefulness will prevail in the entire psychophysical system and work flow with few blemishes. Decision-making will improve. So will be judgement of people and situations. Health will also improve. But to keep the mind calm, the daily discipline of chanting must ever be gone through with eagerness and care and not as routine rigmarole that must be observed. It is attitude that makes an individual, the right attitude building life and the wrong ruining it. Hence, devotion to Guru and God, daily religious discipline and constant communication with Gurudev are the prime necessities in the path of advancing illumination.

You are divine. So, never demean yourself to thinking you are a feeble human being. You are divine, not human at all. This sense of being human is the intermediate state between animality and divinity, and must by constant affirmation of divinity be overcome. Then life will be full of light and you will abide in absolute freedom.

Shubha Kāli Pūjā and shubha Deepāvali, Yashaswi! May your life fill up with health and happiness!

With everlasting blessings on you,

Gurudev

LETTER 3:

Dear Yashaswi,                               22.10.2025

It is good that you are off and on communicating with me. Hope you are in continuous communication offline in your meditation, in your reflection and in your life's generality, for that deepens the spiritual bond between preceptor (Guru) and pupil (Shishyā). Life itself is this continuous conscious and unconscious memory of the Divine. At every step there is a bifurcation of lanes which in the Kathopanishad has been called the preya (the pleasurable path) and the shreya (the preferable path), the discriminating soul selecting the latter for traversing and coming to permanent good. Youth with all its abounding energy and optimism offers this unique opportunity to advance spiritually rapidly which if availed leads to fulfilment in life, ignored makes life a mass of misery in the end. The choice is of the individual, no force about it. 'The Divine', in Sri Aurobindo's words, is supremely democratic and 'may lead but does not drive,' an ironical thing considering the fact that the Divine in the Kurukshetra is Pārthasārathi or the charioteerer of Pārtha (Arjun), the son of Prithā (Kunti).

But so much for now. More later. Keep up constancy of inner and outer communication with your Gurudev.

With love and blessings forever,

Gurudev
