THE PLIGHT OF OUR SANĀTANI BRETHREN ACROSS THE BORDER IN BANGLADESH---ALL RELIGIONS ARE TRUE?
THE PLIGHT OF OUR SANĀTANI BRETHREN ACROSS THE BORDER IN BANGLADESH---ALL RELIGIONS ARE TRUE?
Bangladesh has become a hell for Hindus to live in. Why does the Ramakrishna Mission not rise up in defence of the Hindus there? Is this protection of the virtuous and the destruction of evil-doers which is the stated aim of the Avatār? If we as devotees of the Ramakrishna Mission can muster courage of conviction to vehemently protest against the persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh, why can't our parent spiritual organisation do so? What sort of parentage is this? Would Swamiji have been silent thus? Is this the time for song and dance when Sanātanis are being annihilated and gradually wiped out in Bangladesh? Pakistan of 1947 is being enacted afresh in Bangladesh today. Stop this hypocrisy of the harmony of religions when Islam's scriptural declaration is that those who practise 'shirk' (partnering God with other deities which polytheistic Hindus do, according to Islamic understanding) are the worst enemies of Islam and must be either converted to the only true faith, that is Islam, or must be fought and annihilated. Where is the scope for harmony with such a political ideology which is totally inimical to Hinduism and the Hindus? Consider this and stop misleading and weakening the Hindus further with such fanciful interpretation of Islam as you in full knowledge of its doctrines needlessly do.
Let us be proud Hindus without compromising on truth, that is, the fundamental differences of the different faiths. Thakur and Swamiji have seen the innermost depths of phenomena among which even Islam and Christianity belong, and hence have they averred the supposed truth---perhaps their flawed supposition on account of paucity of scriptural knowledge of Islam and insufficient exposure to its fanaticism and perhaps because of their universally expansive heart which embraced all---that all religions lead to the same spiritual goal. But do they? History and scripture speak otherwise and in this regard I hold them as flawed in their real assessment, both in scriptural terms and in practice, unless of course we draw some complex logical justification for their assumptions and averments contrary to experience, like Thakur's successful practice and realisation of the essence of Sufism which is not quite Qur'anic classical Islam of the Prophet Muhammad though but is a fusion of Islam and the Vedānta, and hence not a valid justification as such of his pronouncement regarding Islam.
I leave it at this in frustration here but I shall carry on the fight, if necessary alone. But I also know that all are neither gullible nor cowards and they are doing their wee bit as well. Together we will do what the Mission, almost in sheer apathy for the failing and the falling Hindus in Bangladesh as elsewhere, fails to do, preferring instead tall talk on the Vedānta and the despicable culture of debilitating song and dance by renunciates among friends and devotees in more peaceful circumstance, oiling already well-oiled heads while our defenceless brethren die in silence like leaves in winter falling off the mother tree one by one till the mother is shorn of them all. Is this what Dharmasangsthāpan is all about?
