RIP?

RIP?

Rebirth is a reality. Therefore, RIP (Rest in Peace) has no validity for a deceased person. Only in liberation or attainment of Mukti through Atmajnan/Brahmajnan can a person rest in peace truly, for that transcendental state is that of absolute and eternal Self-conscious rest where peace abounds that passeth understanding. The materialist stand and the stand of the Abrahamic religions, that of a single life, disjoint and abrupt in its end, is shallow and lacks philosophical profundity. The transmigratory cycle of birth and rebirth through transmission of karma is not only the logical explanation of this mysterious phenomenon called terrestrial life but is evident through recollection of the memory of past lives. Prior to genuine renunciation this memory flashes in the mind of the aspirant and his resolve to renounce is thus strengthened as he perceives the futility of ephemeral sensual life. How many times has he been born in the past, has then lived and died on this planet is laid bare before his unfolding depth-vision of things, and he determines not to fall prey to the selfsame snares of Maya again. So, say not RIP in folly again for the dear departed who has as yet unfinished business on earth to be completed in future incarnations.
