FREEDOM, FREEDOM IS THE SONG OF THE SOUL

1. Just affirm that you are free and free you shall be for free you already are. Bondage is but a delusion, a cover on the ever-free soul.

2. Purity is the precondition to perception of the inherent freedom of the soul.

3. Idleness is not the state of perfect tranquillity where there is cessation of work, blankness of mind not the void of the Self.

4. Devotion divorced from character and reason degenerates into fanaticism.

5. Wonder how the martyrs of the freedom struggle look upon us when we have failed them thoroughly and destroyed their dreams.

6. The British were masters at camouflaging intent. Ever engaged in imperial evil, they kept up the facade of superior civilisation.

7. Realisation is the soul of religion, it is not founded in faith. It eludes the grasp of words and images but includes it all in its ambit.

8. What glory can there be in atheism which in essence is a denunciation of one's own self? Materialism ever muddles conceptions.

9. Atheism falters at its material doorstep and fails to fulfil its destiny. Evolution barred must yet progress even unto its divine end.

10. You may deny God in your arrogance but can you deny that arrogance too?

11. Narendranath had turned atheist in youth and Ramakrishna by a touch showed him God. Wondrous the speaker, adept the receiver!

12. Let us first practice perfect brahmacharya like Narendranath did before we hazard our status in atheism. The pure alone know God.

13. Hasty judgement on an abstruse subject as God is has become the plaything of the puerile. Purity alone reveals the Truth.

14. All human love is finite and perishable even as the human form is. Only love divine lasts forever but seems so beyond conception.

15. Time will roll on, ages will pass but the lustre that is Netaji will remain undimmed as the prophet of patriotism, incarnate freedom.

16. Patriotism is not a verbal act; it is an act that speaks eloquent.
