DEEPAVALI

1. Let Deepavali be the occasion for massive charity to the Mission. Let the projects languishing for want of funds find fulfilment.

2. Let us not hate each other. Let amity spread. May our wills unite for the common weal! May illumination grace our hearts!

3. Is combination such an impossible dream for us Indians? Then let us achieve it, nonetheless, this Deepavali.

4. As the fireworks illumine the night sky, so may the dark of our hearts be dispelled by the Mother's visitation!

5. Kali, consort of Time, creator, preserver, destroyer of phenomena, reigns supreme over the vast prostrate form of the formless One.

6. In your madness of the moment while celebrating Deepavali forget not to adopt the basic precautions against fire.

7. Observe the law, spare the ears this Deepavali.

8. The worship of man is the highest, for man is the highest manifestation of God in the terrestrial plane. So, worship man, serve him.

9. Does it behove us this Deepavali to yet misspend masses of money while the masses remain in hunger and ignorance?

10. Can you not donate some amount to the Mission this Deepavali to bring to fruition the projects that suffer from want of funds?

11. Do something, my friends, do something to alleviate the misery of the masses this Deepavali as a gift to the God that is Man.

12. Cut down on crackers, crack down on ignorance, sponsor a child's education, bring light to the nation.

13. People are desperate to suffer, intransigent they are. The house is on fire, yet, they run headlong into it. Maya! Maya! Maya!

14. The festival of lights is also the occasion for fire. Stay safe by observing the law. Take the necessary precautions.

15. Declining culture is a worse threat to civilisation than mass illiteracy, although, both are pernicious evils needing eradication.

16. Men of letters as much a necessity today as monk of calibre. Research in the diverse disciplines of study, secular and sacred, both of vital moment to the development of the nation. The standard of living must be improved, so must the quality of thinking. It is puerile to imagine the nation will fly on the wings of industry without men being industrious enough in the myriad walks of life that draw his element out. Commerce is but a fourth of the investment in the national life if the ancient fourfold dispensation of 'varna' is remembered as enunciating the truth of the evolving society. Thus, equal emphasis must be laid on intellectual training, martial development, economic growth and the welfare of labour, all the four varnas working in tandem, complementary to and not colliding with each other for the manifestation of the fullest health of the nation and the creation of conditions most conducive for rapid evolution of humanity living in its ambit.

17. Antarey pradeep jwalaan, Deepabali sarthak hobe.

18. Do not wear synthetic clothing. They are highly flammable. Wear cotton clothes. Do not pin up sarees. Be careful about lighted lamps.

19. If tomorrow comes, it will dwell in the present for a series of shifting moments as they roll in to the past. Shimmering dreams, fly!

20. Mother is the immobile axis of all motion which the Mother is. Graded phenomenon is Mother and the Absolute beyond is She.

21. Hriday aalokita hok! Shubha Deepabali!

22. Aaj Ma er puja. Aasun, pratiti nareer sammaney ei puja sharthok kori. Prakrita stree shaktir udbodhan hok!

23. Jini sharthotyagi, tini e toh premik. Baki sob kshudra pipaashumatra. Antarey anantalok, nitya Deepabali.

24. Aaj puraatanke natuner aaloy dyakhar din. Aajikaar ratri aalokito, hridayey tobu andhakaar. Jeebon madhur hok, hriday udbhaashito!

25. Aaj shudhu Ma er puja kore kshanta hoben na, aaj sankalpa grohon korun je Matridarshan kore jaben ihojeeboney. Nijer Ma, dyakha deben e deben, biswas korun.

26. Je muhurtey 'ami' bolen, Ma shatohasta durey choley jaan; je muhurtey 'Ma' bolen, Ma sahasra jojon kachhe chole ashen.

27. Eimatra janlei holo, ami Ma er santan/santati, Tnar dyakha toh paboi, shudhu dekhtey chawar apeksha matra.

28. Come out of the rut of your daily existence and behold the Mother fair and square. Behold Her in every woman that walks this earth.

29. Mother manifests in myriad forms her earthly enactment as men, deluded, driven by desire, dish out destruction.

30. Shaktir aradhanay srijanishaktir udbodhan ghotuk, shudhu bishorok padaarther dhongsholeelay noy.

31. Ei ekti din Gandhijir masta porajoy. Bharat edin ajantey baaji poranor madhyomey biplabider sasastra sangramke swagato janay.

32. The crackers have been burnt, explosives burst, but let not the hopes of a nation burn and burst with it. Feel, think, act.

33. How long shall we fool the Goddess in the name of piety, how long deceive in the name of devotion while She in every form suffers?

34. Do you know that you are God, that everyone about you is God, every bit of the world is nothing but God?
