SYAMAPRASAD MOOKERJEE FORTNIGHT' lasting from 23 June (his day of demise) to 6 July (his birthday) in this the sesquicentennial year of his advent in 1901. At this holy hour when the nation celebrates the life and times of this great son of Mother India and Bengal, when Bengali Hindus with reverential gratitude remember their saviour in the darkest hour of their history when the Islamic forces arrayed against them were hell-bent upon gobbling up the whole of Bengal into the perfidious state of Pakistan that through Partition was about to be blood-born, courtesy the Islamic jihadists, when Dr. Syamaprasad Mookerjee's singular efforts saved the day and integrated partitioned West Bengal into the Indian Union, at this holy hour of sesquicentennial reminiscing of his life, it is the Communists of Bengal yet again who across the globe spread calumny against Bengal's seminal son. Their daily tirade against the hero, falsification of history through malicious misrepresentation of facts and their open alliance with the anti-Hindu forces bring to sharp focus the malicious intent of Marxists here. Beware of these pseudo-revolutionaries whose international commitment ever comes in the way of their loyalty to the nation and its major community, the Hindus.
