TRUST NOT LEFTIST PROPAGANDA IN DILUTING DR. SYAMAPRASAD MOOKERJEE'S SEMINAL ROLE IN THE CREATION OF WEST BENGAL AS SAFE HOMELAND FOR BENGALI HINDUS 

Dr. Syamaprasad Mookerjee's contribution in integrating West Bengal to India during Partition was seminal. It cannot be downplayed in any way. Doing so would be unhistorical and malefic in intent. Yet leftist 'intellectuals' are doing precisely that.

Dr. Syamaprasad Mookerjee's singular efforts thwarted the deluded design of separating United Bengal from India as an independent separate state and also saved the Hindu-majority Bengal from going to Muslim-majority Pakistan. Bengali Hindus got their own homeland where they could live in safety and security, and flourish. 

That West Bengal today, despite Dr. Mookerjee's efforts, has declined to the present state of affairs is owing to internal foes who have from pre-Partition days and ever since Partition plotted against Hindu interests. These are people, both political and academic, who were and are of leftist leanings, often radically so, whose international interests override nationalistic considerations. These academics and some retired bureaucrats in the twilight of their much traversed lives attempt to run down such a supreme nationalist as Dr. Syamaprasad Mookerjee and grant him mere titular status in the creation of West Bengal. Their leftist leanings blind them to anything beyond their ideological conviction or agenda. Hence, they are not to be taken seriously and are best ignored as we go about building our beloved Bengal which has been obliterated culturally in its erstwhile eastern part and remains in degraded state here in its western section, the creation of the great Dr. Syamaprasad Mookerjee.
