Mamata Bannerjee is seeking the limelight by stirring up controversy. Knowing her track record, she ought not to be given undue publicity. That will be counterproductive to Bengal's growth story that has now newly taken off. 

Mamata Bannerjee is an old hand in national and regional politics, a wizard in winning public support through her antics, histrionics, street fighting and delusive tactics that cover up her true intent and project her as a friend of the people which the bitter history of Bengal over the last few decades of her operation has proved to be utterly false. 

The massive mandate that the BJP has won may be blown off in a flicker next time around unless the party consolidates its victory through effective people-oriented work, both short term and long term with immediate effect.
