THE RESURRECTION OF THE SANĀTAN DHARMA AND THE SANĀTANIS ... 3
The moment a community crosses 5% of the population of the country, it should lose minority status. Such a Constitutional provision will go to protect Hindu rights to a significant extent which in the name of step-motherly treatment being meted out to them on being the majority community is currently being trampled upon. Demographic change with full minority protection for a community with 16%+ of the population of the country is adversely affecting the cultural cohesion of the nation and increasingly fracturing the polity politically along communal lines. This ought to stop. The provision of secularism incorporated in the Constitution by way of the 42nd Amendment of 1976 by Indira Gandhi's government under heavy influence of the CPI that stood by the Congress during the Emergency has shifted our civilisational identity from the Sanātan Dharma to a hybrid of cross-national culture and created a dangerous situation for Hindus in their only homeland already heavily partitioned. This must go and the Hindu identity reaffirmed as our national identity. Hindus preserved, the nation will thrive in every sense in keeping with the principle of the Gīta 'svadharmey nidhanam shreyo paradharma bhayāvaha'. The Sanātan Dharma is the lifeblood of the nation and the Sanātanis are its carriers. Hence, the preservation of both is our absolute civilisational imperative. May Bengal now under Hindutva influence show the way in keeping with Gopal Krishna Gokhale's averment, "What Bengal thinks today, India thinks tomorrow." This is the hour, this the historic moment. 'Awake, Bengal! Arise, Bengal! And stop not till the goal is reached.'
