THE WAY AHEAD FOR THE BJP IN BENGAL ... 1

There has been an overwhelming support for the BJP. But part of it was because people wanted to dethrone the mafias ruling Bengal. So, it cannot be gainsaid that the mandate itself has achieved for the BJP a secure foothold in Bengal. Bengalis are a very politically conscious race and do not yield to gimmicks like the Prime Minister wearing a dhoti Bengali-style or eating jhāl muri or speaking a few words in Bengali with atrocious diction. Real work will have to be done here over the next five years to win over the heart and soul of Bengal for keeps. Remember even Gandhiji has not been able to do so. So, for the Modi-Shah combine it will be a tough ask. Let us guide them along in understanding the unique Bengali ethos and help them serve Bengal and bring it up to becoming the premier province of India which it long was till the Communists and the Trinamool combined to destroy it. Now is the chance to resurrect Bengal. Come ye all who wish the good of Bengal and work heart and soul to save her from jihadi forces and establish her at the forefront of the world's diverse races. Bengal must fulfil Gopal Krishna Gokhale's averment again---'What Bengal thinks today, India thinks tomorrow.'
