AMERICA, THE IMMATURE ADOLESCENT 

America is an immature nation. Its citizens are in their adventurous adolescence. For such a nation to have so much nuclear arsenal is portentous of great threat to world security.

Mikhail Gorbachev went all the way to defuse the nuclear situation by ending the Cold War. Subsequent developments, the demise of the Soviet Union and the unipolar status of USA could easily have been utilised by the latter to make for a peaceful world order. Instead America forged ahead with further weaponisation of itself and the less developed world to which it sold its outdated weaponry to keep it in a state of perpetual warfare. This has kept the American economy going and has led to the loss of umpteen millions of lives the world over. US policy of aggressive nationalism garbed thus as the pursuit of democracy and freedom the greatest threat to world security. No less an analyst than the world-renowned Noam Chomsky is of this view.
