Life is short and we have to make the best of our opportunity to advance towards godhead. Not a moment must be wasted chasing futile dreams that will smash with that grand departure called death.
This moment is precious and we must smash the dream -- or shall I call it nightmare -- of name and form that so plagues us in our ignorance. However, once ignorance, through discrimination or devotion or self-restraint or detached work, is gone, life becomes a blissful play-field where the forces are evenly balanced and the nerves all geared up in their openness towards the Spirit which is the essence one's being.
Waste not a single moment but direct all your thoughts to the blissful Lord seated in the midst of your spiritual heart. A moment's forgetfulness must bring intense misery, so says the great Ramanujacharya. Then, and then alone, will the Lord reveal His face out of His infinite grace. To that blessed moment of Self-realisation, to that divine moment of union with the Eternal Beloved, are we tending through all the vicissitudes of life.
Let us be conscious of our divine inheritance, our divine lineage, our divine origin and our divine destination. Unto that realisation may we spend our hours on earth and unto that end may we progress each moment !
