BUDDHA PŪRNIMĀ

The great God who upheld the dignity of man, the sanctity of all life, the great civiliser of the world, a force for good that still rolls on, inspiring sages and saints and common man with the message of love and truth, sanity and soulfulness, the lone luminary in a world of dark before the dawn of civilisation in the world at large, the great democratiser of spirituality who brought light to the cottage of the cobbler and to the palace of the prince, who accepted all and rejected none, even the 'ganabhogyā' Āmrapāli who received enlightenment by his grace, the bridge between reason and realisation, work and worship, light and love, the great God of the People, at his feet I offer my obeisance on this hallowed day of his birth anniversary. Buddhang sharanang gachchhāmi!
