HANDS OFF ... 2

HANDS OFF ... 2

We, Hindus, must instead take to the serious study of our scriptures. Remember, knowledge is power and ignorance weakness. Lack of scriptural knowledge has reduced us to becoming the butt of criticism of every Hindu-hating and Hindu-baiting quarter. They criticise the evils that have existed in our society while conveniently ignoring our glorious Vedic philosophy, and even in criticism of our society they choose to conflate our Sanatan Dharma with our Hindu samaj. But our Sanatan Dharma is quite distinct from our Hindu samaj and cannot be held accountable for the ills that persist in our society. Yes, we have failed to build up a privilege-free equal society because we have failed to incorporate the golden principles of the Vedic Dharma therein. But this is the legacy of historical evolutionary trends where the sharp differentiation of social classes have divided society into the privileged and the exploited in every society---Hindu, Christian, Muslim, all. So, just targeting Hindus by way of picking their social ills has malice motivating it and certainly not charity. That much for critical benevolence. After all let these caustic critics be reminded what Swamiji famously said in the West that our society has stood the test of time for scores of shining centuries while theirs crumble every three or four decades and people are rendered hapless, searching for spiritual and moral anchor that is sadly then in short supply. We have tided over the vicissitudes of time, triumphed over invasive Islamic snd colonising Christian forces to yet emerge as a sovereign nation and a race with the longest continuing civilisation despite terrible loss to life, property, culture and finally the dismemberment of our beloved motherland. And we mean to triumph still. We shall not rest till we have conquered the world with our philosophy, with our all-inclusive civilising culture and with the sublime spirituality of our sages till the world realises the depth-divinity of all.

To be continued ...
