RAMAKRISHNA ... 4
Necessity is the mother of invention, as the saying goes. This principle apparently extends to all spheres of human evolution with the organic system responding more often than not adequately to address existential problems and evolve by way of adjustment to environment to continue its terrestrial existence. This is the stimulus-response dual mechanism that determines dynamics and this itself is the underlying principle of the advent of the Avatār or the Divine incarnation in human clay.
Human society goes through periodic ups and downs with virtue and vice holding sway in turns. Not that in a vicious order of terrestrial existence virtue will be utterly absent or that in a virtuous state vice will have been eliminated altogether, but that each in turn gains predominance over the other in terms of influencing the human mind en masse. When this imbalance becomes heavily tilted in favour of vice, the Divine descends to set things right. Harmony of forces largely lost, harmony is to be restored which is why there is this massive descent of divine force to rectify order.
