THE RETURN OF CHANDRA KUMAR BOSE

THE RETURN OF CHANDRA KUMAR BOSE

An inspired oration by Chandra Kumar Bose literally in response to slanted questions put forth by the interviewer Kumkum Chaddha. Bose has regained his original fire that was so manifest in him prior to his joining the BJP, and this suppressed fire of his he has recovered post his quitting the said party. Evidently, he was ill at ease with the BJP's political ideology which is not as inclusive as what Bose advocates following the footsteps of his illustrious granduncle Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. Now freed of all such compromise as party affiliation necessarily enjoins, Chandra Kumar Bose is on his renascent path hopefully of propagating the inspiring ideology of Netaji and Swamiji which he with his massive platform presence is eminently capable of. Here in this interview he stands tall, bound in truth and above petty political point-scoring, reverent to all including Kangana Ranaut who he has, by the way, not blasted at all as the video caption mischievously claims to secure attention, and emerges yet again an illustrious descendant of two illustrious forefathers whose heritage he must bear, though the task thereof be onerous. Bold, intrepid, articulate and impartial, inspired by Netaji visibly and unyielding in his allegiance to his enlightened nationalistic ideology, intensely human, yet intensely pragmatic, Chandra Bose shines luminous as yet a star in the murky political firmament. We all hope he remains in good health, happiness and ideological sanity so that he may serve our beloved motherland in the right righteous way which is the legacy he bears from his forefathers and which he must carry forth into the hearts and minds of our people, famished now of all sense of sublime patriotic ideal and hungering for some such soul as Chandra Kumar Bose to lead the charge and render them whole. Idealistic, utopian these ruminations may seem to most but to me it has seemed this day that there yet gleams the light that is Netaji in this grandnephew of his which if carried forward may light up the darkened alleyways of our present-day politics. After all Netaji must not live on as a dead ideal but as a living, transforming one, for, to quote his own words, "One individual may die for an idea, but that idea will, after his death, incarnate itself in a thousand lives." May it incarnate in Chandra Kumar Bose!
