THE GEETA UNDONE

Why is it that not a single exponent of the Geeta ever speaks of the aggression that is expected of us to overcome the adversarial forces that threaten our society? Why only the same old passive harping on disinterested work, pure love and illumination through discrimination but no daring discussion on where our duty lies in cleansing the forces of evil the righteous way? Is the Geeta a text for just weak hearts that such meekness should present itself in its preaching? It seems secularism has taken its timely toll on the text of the Geeta and relegated it to its present passivity. Or, is it that we have somehow lost virility as a race and no more command that warrior instinct that would have merited a truer interpretation of the scriptural text?
