IN SYMPATHETIC RESPONSE TO A PERTINENT POST BY YATIRAJ PURI

IN SYMPATHETIC RESPONSE TO A PERTINENT POST BY YATIRAJ PURI

No, the Christian quite often does not feel so for his allegiance lies elsewhere. This is the consequence of cultural conditioning where imported culture from foreign land is superimposed on the minds of indigenous people, thwarting them, thus, from pursuance of their native culture. The converts to Christianity, thus, are indoctrinated into losing their spiritual and cultural moorings which in turn induces apathy and often antipathy towards the cultural inheritance of one's motherland. The induced culture from afar a foreign land loosens their native bond and gradually grows in them allegiance to a foreign ideology, culture and religious denomination.

Worst of all in this regard are Christianity and Islam which are proselytising faiths and which impose a complete alien culture often on their adherents to that of the habitat where they are allowed to bloom. Hinduism needs eternal vigilance against the onslaughts of the mischievous missionaries of these faiths for the preservation of its own culture and content, its principles and practices, and most importantly, its flock -- to use a Christian parlance -- from being perverted to these proselytising cults.

The entire conversion campaign is politically motivated as are these proselytising cults in their essential violent thrust towards gaining numbers. Numerical superiority obtained and established, destruction of indigenous culture easily follows as is amply testified by history. Christianity has spread by the sword and so has Islam, and each in its wake has obliterated existing civilisations, flourishing cultures which were rich and refined but did not know how to defend themselves against bare barbarism.

We, Hindus, too, have suffered at the hands of these converting cults and need to take special care that we are not eventually wiped out of existence by the bare power of a barbarous majority, an objective towards which these Semitic faiths unfailingly advance. Our vigilance is our dharma and our knowledge our defence against possible extinction.

Vande Mataram ! Jai Swamiji ! Jai Sanatan Dharma !
