SIKHS AND HINDUS ARE ONE
Sikhism is an offshoot of Hinduism. It came into being as a reaction to Islamic invasive destruction of everything Hindu in North India during the days of the Delhi Sultanate. It became a purifying Hindu movement shorn of traditional trappings of caste and gender and rituals that weakened Hindu 'samāj' by dividing it. It resuscitated Hinduism even as it protected it against Islamic proselytism. The birth of Sikhism, thus, has tremendous historical significance, especially in its being pivotal to saving Hinduism from the proselytism of Islam in Northern India. Therefore, to create a rift between Sikhs and Hindus is mischievous and has an antinational intent.
The Sikh faith is part and parcel of the Mother Faith, the Sanatan Dharma. The ten Sikh Gurus all considered themselves as Hindus. The ninth and the tenth Sikh Gurus, namely, Guru Tegh Bahadurji and Guru Gobind Singhji were martyred in their struggle to save Hinduism from Islamic (Mughal) aggression. So was the fifth Sikh Guru, Arjan Devji, martyred at the hands of the Mughal Emperor Jahangir. The sixth, seventh and eight Gurus in Har Gobindjii, Har Raiji and Harkrishanji also militarily resisted the Mughals, and so did the ninth Guru, Tegh Bahadurji. It was the tenth Guru, Gobind Singhji, though, who gave final shape to Sikh resistance which totally transformed his following and created a lasting impact on the Sikhs and on our national history.
The theology of Sikhism, its monotheistic root in the Omkar (🕉) and its foundational principles enunciated by the great Guru Nanak Devji are all derived from the Vedas which the seer saw in his spiritual realisations and revalidated them, for it is in the Rishi's realisations that documented revelations of the past gain fresh validation.
Sikhism, as Guru Gobind Singhji gave practical shape to it in finality in the form of the Khālsā, became the defender of the Sanatan Dharma (Hinduism) and the Sanatanis (Hindus). This was the martial wing of the mother faith, now newly forged but maintaining the ancient kshatriya spirit. In fact, were it not for the Sikhs, North India would have entirely fallen to the Dawah and the Jihādi sword of Islam.
Sikhism saved Hinduism and we must bear eternal gratitude to the Sikhs, their forefathers who are our forefathers as well, for their valorous defence of the Dharma then and now and blossoming evermore unto the untrodden fragrant future.
Hence, always remember that Hindus and Sikhs are one, and inseparably so, and cannot be sundered by dastardly antinational forces. All such separatist notions are rejected, all separatist activity resisted by Sanatanis in solidarity with the Sikhs who are our very own in life and spirit, in blood and toil, a valorous martial sect of the Mother Faith, bravehearts of the motherland in whose defence they so fearlessly keep sacrificing their precious lives, as if in remembrance of their martyr Gurus who gave their all to protect the Hindus in their hour of civilisational peril at the hands of invasive Islam.
Wahe Guru ki fateh! Wahe Guru ki Khālsā! Sat Shree Ākāl! 🕉

Rome has witnessed the spiritual downfall of the Christian Church, Bharatvarsha has seen the downfall of the Buddhist Order, and the first clear signs of spiritual decay and material ascendancy are being perceived by the discerning eye in the Ramakrishna Order. Whether devotees should resist it or facilitate the decline is upto them. Myself have long chosen the path of sounding the bell. Of course, this decline has decades back started when the Mission chose to legally de-Hinduise itself before being brought back to sanity by the three member Supreme Court bench in 1995.
You see, Mahamaya weaves her deception net imperceptibly and the chess players aren't aware of the wrong moves they are making but the bystander, if he is knowledgeable in the game, can point them out. (Ref: Thakur's parable to the effect) But men innocent of the nuances of the game can only cheer on the erring player to his checkmated end.

PRACTISE THE SANĀTAN DHARMA TO PRESERVE IT IN ALL ITS SUBLIMITY (REVISED AND EDITED FROM ITS ORIGINAL VERSION OF 31 DECEMBER, 2018)
The best way Hindus can influence the world into accepting the universal principles of the Upanishads is to practise their religion well instead of clamouring cacophonous over the weaknesses of other faiths. While defending Hindu rights is justified, the best defence would still be to religiously practise the Dharma and lead a life of principled purity. Precept fails to teach where practice makes its mark for sure. In witnessing devout Hindus practising their faith, people from other faiths will be attracted to the Sanatan Dharma (Hinduism) and accept it as their spiritual habitat as well.
The reason why after over a thousand years of Islamic and later Christian occupation in India (here spoken strictly from the angle of religious affiliation of the invaders) the Hindus, despite massive conversion to Islam and Christianity, could not be wiped out as a religious force and even today maintain such a huge following crossing a billion is on account of the constant appearance on the national scene of Hindu saints, sages, seers and savants who through their ardent practice of the faith kept alive the flame of the Vedas. These spiritual luminaries have been the living lights of Hinduism and have saved it from utter annihilation at the proselytising hands of Islam and Christianity. They created their spiritual movements and gathered millions of fresh adherents to their sects. These followers in turn, rejuvenated by the inspiring message of their spiritual masters, obeyed their instructions and practised the faith which kept Hinduism in all its myriad manifestation vibrant and alive.
It thus stands to reason for us, modern Hindus, to emulate the instance of our forefathers and practise our faith with ardour so that we may spread its influence across the wide world and help usher peace and harmony in its otherwise violently tormented order. In doing so we will do Hinduism a far greater service than we are wont to doing so now en masse through our collective cacophony about rights lost and freedoms infringed and religious space transgressed by aggressors in diverse ways. May we follow in the footsteps of our great sages and fulfil their expectations of us, and only then call ourselves Hindus, otherwise not! May Sri Ramakrishna, who was the embodiment of the Vedas, whose life was the highest commentary on the Upanishads and who was a veritable Ganga of spirituality himself, bless us all in our common endeavour to enliven ourselves spiritually and with it to vivify our ancient religion, the grandest ever man has conceived in his spiritual odyssey thus far! May the Sanatan Dharma through our collective, creative, active endeavour triumph over those inimical forces that are trying to crush it in its onward course! Charaiveti! (Onward!)

At a time of national crisis when we are in combat-conflict with our neighbouring nation, we should all stand in solidarity with the government and with the armed forces. Those that are questioning the motives of the government and the Prime Minister at this critical juncture are patently exposing themselves as antinationals and need to be isolated as rogue elements tending to erode the faith of our people in the government and, so, weakening the resolve of our nation in fighting the enemy. Where camouflaged activity of such kind is going on, such miscreants must be identified and isolated as well. We are despite democratic differences one when it comes to defending the sovereignty of our nation and the security of our citizens from external aggression, be they outright war or proxy war in the shape of jihādi terror. May our motherland tide over umpteen hindrances en route to preserving her territorial integrity and sovereignty, and fulfilling her unique spititual mission on earth! Vande Mataram! Jai Hind! 🕉

Moderate Muslims are munafiqs (hypocrites), hence, not true Muslims. This lack of fanatical faith in every letter of the Deen and faith in reason and good sense makes them patriotic. But the true believers consider such moderation heresy, as the Word of their God is absolute, to the very letter and, hence, inviolable. There can be no moderation in the Deen. Every unabrogated verse of the Qur'an is binding on the believer and he cannot budge from it an inch by citing altered circumstance and compulsions of modernity.
Islam divides the world into the realm of war (Dar-ul-Harb) and the realm of Islam (Dar-ul-lslam) and it is by waging a constant multidimensional war (jihād) that the Muslim (momin/mominā) must convert the former to the latter. The whole body of believers, local and global, national and transnational, forms the Ummā (Muslimdom) and no Muslim must fight against his brother or sister believer.
Jihād is fundamental to Islam and it makes Islam no less a political movement than a religious one. If a Muslim falls in jihādi combat, he becomes a martyr (shaheed) and flies fast to heaven (jannat) to be rewarded with luscious dream damsels and associated appetizers in milk and honey, scented breeze and cool shade, palatial house and able-bodied servants at his beck and call. Every true Muslim's dream is to be martyred in warfare against the infidel (kafir) after killing as many of them as possible to become Ghāzi with Jannat waiting for him Inshallah (God willing).
Reams may be written on Islam and jihād but I'll end the note here by saying that Islam has never faced a dearth of desperate devotees desirous of death in jihādi activity. When hundreds of millions of Momins are held captive to jihādi ideology and a large number actually crave for death in combat against the kafir, we have a very serious problem at hand.

This tendency to call oneself an Indian more than a Hindu is the signature of not a larger sympathy but of a disease called secularism that has come to affect, nay, afflict our elite citizenry who have barely any connection with the spiritual traditions of Sanatan Bharatvarsha. Rootless and unconcerned about the genuine traditions of our ancient civilisation, much wounded by Islamic and European invasion, these superficial socialists and surface sympathisers of everything that takes us away from our religiocultural roots to a legal identity thrust on us post the 42nd Amendment of the Constitution would have us believe that to be a Hindu is less than being an Indian, sectarian and segmented to a fault as it supposedly is, as opposed to the wholeness of being an Indian, not realising, though, that the word 'Hindu' not only encompasses the totality of national life as it is post-Independence but also embraces the gamut of cosmic living in every phase and dimension, leave aside just material national life. Hence, their argument, ill-informed and unfounded, falls flat. Period. 🕉 Hindu!

Why hasn't PM Modi even once visited the refugee camps of the Kashmiri Hindus, the sufferers of the 1990 jihādi genocide and exodus? Why must men like Sushil Panditji feel so exasperated, so let down by a nationalistic party in power one of whose stated agenda has been the rehabilitation of these hapless hundreds of thousands in their homeland? Mr. Prime Minister, whither justice? Whither commitment to the Hindu cause? Whither 'sab ka saath'? Are we to assume then that these sufferers of jihādi violence are beyond the pale of your collective so dubbed as 'sab'?

When a religious movement begins in violence, it continues in violence as well and eventually ends in violence. Unfortunately for non-observers of such a religion, this violence by 'divine decree' also extends to them and hundreds of millions lose their lives while the dance of death continues through the ages in the name of holy war and conversion of the infidel. Add to it geopolitics and you have the complete picture of violence and counter-violence which remains the despair of civilisations. Man ought no more to subscribe to these archaic manifestations of religiosity and must move on with a scientific temper to progress towards a higher living. Assimilation of the best of all cultures and eschewing of all that is worst in them, surely, is the way ahead and will usher in a new age of peace and enlightenment on earth. It is for progressive and liberal-minded sincere people, and not merely apologists for retrograde and regressive thinking, to take the step towards the future advancement of human culture, and they must be devoid of selfish nationalistic or ideological motivations and must be inspired only by the thought of the general good of humanity.
Man is not merely the carrier of tradition, however regressive be such baggage and its vile hold on him, but is also the path-breaker, the innovator, the liberator from the captivity of tradition. Age-old senseless tribal bindings on a vast multitude that has retarded reason and circumscribed civilisation must now be sundered and a new-age ethical system evolved based on all that is sublime in human history and all that appeals to the aesthetics and the sense of natural justice of the modern man. Gone are the days of segmented politics when disconnectedness owing to lack of geographical integration of the world caused localisation of culture and its concomitant exclusiveness in the realm of ideas. Such barriers in the path of the free flow of knowledge led to exclusive cultural developments in one part of the world and total ignorance about like developments in others. This led to supremacist tendencies and the impulse to imposing one's own cultural variant on all other races having a different idea of truth and culture. Fanaticism, thus, was engendered in geographical isolation of races as much as by insufficient evolution of the universal idea. This was the seed of forcible conversion to one's own fold, a primitive tribal idea where the wider vision had not yet opened up and ancient barbarism coupled with fanatical attachment to a narrow ideal set the stage for political perfidy in the name of a God as vicious as His villainous worshippers.
But their day is done. The Enlightenment has snatched Europe away from theocratic absolutism and ushered in the epoch of reason and liberalism. Where the Middle East and its siblings across the globe, especially in the subcontinent and in Africa, still hold on to theocracies, man suffers from medieval monstrosities. A resurgence is likely, for disgruntled humanity cannot be suppressed for long, especially in modern times when access to information about the free world will inevitably weaken the hold of tyrannical regimes on subjugated masses. Moreover, in a globalised world to stay cocooned in one's own corner, harbouring horrendous historical heresies as humanity's imperatives, for they carry the burden of archaic articulations of faith, is to invoke self-inflicted 'martyrdom' in one's noxious cause of outright obliteration of others' rights. Such an agenda will never succeed given the level of literacy and intellectual enlightenment the major part of the world has already attained. It is a lost cause for a religion that seeks political domination by perfidious means and the sooner reformation alters its moribund ways, the better its chances of a reformed survival. Else, death which it decrees on infidels will be its own lot, for stagnation inevitably leads to annihilation.
All cultures have their redeeming elements whereby they gain a footing into the changing contours of a dynamic world and so must Muslims worldwide seek to do with their own inheritance. There is much that is abhorrent in the legacy of loot and conquest that they have to account for to bring about a semblance of sanity to their present predicament but there is equally a lot to cheer about in their heritage of science and technology which had built the edifice of their famed civilisation stretching from the Sahara to Spain. It is misplaced emphasis on dogma and denunciation that has ruined Islamic culture and only a reaffirmation of the vital points that had led to its erstwhile rise as a civilisation that can resurrect it once more. So long as man remains the centrepiece of the human drama, nothing can permanently prevent the progress of civilisation. It moves on with its own momentum forged out of the circumstances that engineer it.
Impetus and impediment both work out their respective roles in advancing or retarding human evolution. Accordingly, civilisation proceeds along an undulated terrain, going up and down in phases. Materialism and spirituality in inverse relation work on the collective mind of man. Thus, the rise of materialism lowers the spiritual consciousness of man and the rise of spirituality reduces his materialistic tendencies. An optimal proportion of the twain is conducive to human welfare, and the various forces at work in the world resolve out karma to leave the residuum of their action as imprints on human civilisation, fashioning and refashioning it. Movements arise out of historical necessities and the demands of evolution, and movements wane likewise. There is an energy to it all that determines the course of things and when the last ounce of input work has been spent, death seizes the movement despite desperate attempts to resuscitate it. Such is the state of fanatical ideologies in this age of science and reason. Despite frenetic fanning up of fratricidal violence---for all of humanity in enlightened vision is but a single family (vasudhaiva kutumbakam)---, fanatical faiths are in their death throes which they mistake to be mass martyrdom but which in essence is their obliteration from the face of this beautiful earth they have marred for far too long, sinking civilisation and the possibilities of man to rise beyond what prophecy decrees.
We stand at the crossroads of a new beginning with infinite possibilities opening up before the enlightened vision. No God, no Prophet this time will come in the way of the awakened future man, no faith thrust upon the human soul shall retard its progress to freedom. We stand on the edge of a boundless sea of inquiry and investigation, both external and internal, and we remain free to accept or reject our findings in the light of reason and realisation but never again on the basis of arbitrary assumptions or autocratic assertions which stunt the soul of man. If faith there must be, let faith be there in the spirit of man that can challenge and change ideas, inquire and investigate into the laws of Nature, external and internal, and progressively move towards the divine destination that is Truth, never reached in comprehensive finality in the realm of relativity but gaining access into its spectral bands along luminous lines of radial movement to the cosmic core, be that of external phenomena or internal consciousness as the case may be. After all it is an integrated vision that must be the cherished objective of inquiry and not a segmented, fractured understanding of all that stands before us and all that unfolds.
Let man arise at last from his bondage to God, Prophet, Messiah and tyrannical brother man, and let him take his fate finally into his own hands and, so, fashion his destiny as he will, no more governed by a malevolent God, no more subject to divine decree of dubious origin, but a free man with the freedom to choose and to reject what his conscience decrees, what his consciousness ordains.

THAT MUCH FOR CEASEFIRE
Pahalgam was a jihādi attack. Has jihād been obliterated that the ceasefire will be of much more than temporary relief? Jihād will remain as theological doctrine and jihādis will keep breeding in madrassas. Ghazwa-e-Hind will keep inspiring them to take India apart, annihilate Hindus and establish, once and for all, Islam in India as state religion with the Sharia ruling law and life.
Pakistan is but the facade of the inner agenda which lives on and grows in strength by the day with demographic change, political pandering and toxic hold of theology on the malleable masses. More terrorist attacks will take place, more innocents will die and our motherland, the birthplace of dharma, will be bereft of dharma and reduced to a medieval mass of inhuman practices and beliefs.

Wars are always counter-productive in the long run and ought to be at all costs avoided but if the enemy forces it on one, then it must be fought to defend oneself and to deter future aggression. Pakistan, backed by China, most certainly has led India into a catch-22 situation where proportionate military response from India to ensure deterrence has become an imperative. That, however, does not nullify the said thesis that many an analyst has rightly forwarded.
After war will come peace and then peace will be followed by war. This cycle can be stopped only if India hugely builds up the arms differential with respect to Pakistan for which positive steps in regard to economics, academics, high level research, national health, standard of living, a proper population policy, absolute separation of religion and divisive casteism from statecraft and election campaigning along with the building up of a highly modernised offence and defence system, and a powerfully manned sophisticated huge armed force must be brought into being. Jingoism is not effective warfare. The defence budget has to scaled up, corruption in politics rooted out and children brought up valorous and virtuous for nationalistic and humanistic attributes to develop in them adequately.
Mere warfare with a rogue nation whose roguery has been supported and fuelled by the West, beginning with the Anglo-American partitioning of India to thwart Soviet expansionism via its eastern border with Afghanistan, and post Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, the creation of jihādi networks across Pakistan and Afghanistan which later developed into the notorious organisations that have wreaked havoc across the world, and China feeding the rogue state now to check India's growing might, not to forget the madrassas legion within India preaching and teaching jihād against the kafir---all these must be duly considered, contemplated, comprehended and countered before India hopes to achieve lasting peace with Pakistan and now the malevolent minnow, Bangladesh. Jihādi ideology has to be rooted out. Had such an ideology never existed, Pakistan and Bangladesh would have remained peaceful integrated provinces of undivided India. These are the real issues, complex indeed, with demography turning dangerous and threatening to go fissile within or overwhelm India wholesale in the coming decades to turn it into an Islamic state.
Theory, Marx said, was a material force and must grip the masses before revolution may be rife. The Islamic ideology of jihād is one such theory that easily grips the indoctrinated Muslim, a fact which historically has been utilised by the western powers to their advantage. If these things of momentous geopolitical significance are not understood and jingoism replaces wise moves in defence and offence, chances are that the subcontinent will be reduced to cinders. Therefore, discretion is the better of valour, as the old adage goes, and due defence in measured degree may only be resorted to and not all-out war which will destabilise the entire region.
Pakistan has always been the initial aggressor and has been so this time as well with the dastardly Pahalgam terror attack. Thereafter, India put into abeyance the Indus Water Treaty to dry up and flood Pakistan in quick succession alternately which will hit its agriculture hard. Pakistan responded as always by cross-border heavy firing ever since. India was forced into retaliation by the launch of #OperationSindoor which hit nine terror targets in the POJK and in Pakistan proper. Pakistan responded with drone and missile attacks, targeting civilians and militarily installations in India. India made a proportionate response to it yesterday hitting multiple targets in Pakistan. The conflict is escalating. It will ruin Pakistan which fate its militarily establishment is yet again thrusting upon it. India also bleeds as any war has its inevitable damages to pay.
Where does this all lead to? Certainly not a nuclear holocaust which looms at the end of the escalation ladder. Much before it ceasefire will be forced upon the conflicting nations by the international community. Then? Will terrorism stop? Have 9/11, 7/7, 26/11, the Danish cartoons' case, Charlie Hebdo, Dhaka Cafe, October 7, to name only a handful out of the 44,000 plus attacks since 11 September, 2001, not happened despite western intervention, invasion, bombing and sanctioning Iraq, Iran, Libya, Syria, Afghanistan, to name only a few rogue Islamic states? Unless the West and China stop propping up terrorist states, empowering them with money and munition to serve their own geopolitical and economic interests, will these terrorist states ever stop creating fresh incidents of terror?
What steps are we going to take to tackle Islamic indoctrination in India which produces internal agents of national disruption and allies in terrorist activity with alien agencies whose heart is in Pakistan but whose head is in Deoband, India? What about the hundreds of sleeper cells within our country that aid and abet terrorism exported into India from Pakistan?
As a nationalist I stand firmly in war and in peace with my motherland. But as a discerning man of fair judgement, I am deeply worried about the implications of war with Pakistan alone as the means to resolving this phenomenon of Islamic terrorism that is scripturally decreed on the momin against the mushrik which the Hindu is. The Pahalgam attack conducted in the month following the sacred one of Ramzān was more or less in accordance with the Sword Verse of Surāh At-Tawbā (Qur'an, 9.5). The same forest cover, the same ambush, the same offer to recite the kalimāh, the separation of the mushrik from the momin and the shooting in the head as the modern variant of the severing of the head---all these have been duly enacted following scriptural injunction. How does one tackle it ultimately with war alone with Pakistan?
I am one, absolutely one, with the armed forces and our government but I wonder how with passing time, Pakistan growing stronger in war-technology and with Bangladesh on the eastern border also developing likewise into a malevolent Islamic nation, we will be able to tackle this terror menace unless we obliterate the jihādi ideology from our own soil with a strong hand once and for all. Else, Pakistan, Bangladesh and rising Islamisation within our motherland pandered to by political parties to secure electoral advantage will consume India despite a prospective victory in the current conflict should the escalation go on to the level of an overwhelming Indian dominance.
My earlier observation had not been made by way of a passing comment, compromising and cowardly, but had deep implications which failed the attention of my critics perchance. Nevertheless, elucidation has now been made and clarity perhaps rendered as to my stated stance. Vande Mataram! Jai Hind! 🕉
