Sugata Bose @Bhaskar Nath : It is presumptuous for you to assume so. 'Tumi' refers to a superior or senior person affectionately addressing an inferior or junior person, none of which apply to your assumed relation to or attitude towards me. As far as knowledge of my mother tongue (Bengali) is concerned or the alien one in English, I humbly submit that the world will testify that I stand in equal or better comparison to you. Hence, such puerile arguments are necessarily invalidated. I do not wish to further deliberation as I have earlier stated. So, do not invite me unto further forays which may progressively turn toxic should either of us transgress limits of civilised conversation as your opening comment had done which opened up this Pandora's Box of infertile inveighing. 🕉

Sugata Bose @Utpal Chakrabarty : The Vedanta is the endpoint of the Vedas. It is the climactic realisation of the Vedas, its philosophical evolutionary culmination which is the spiritual oneness of existence behind the seeking multiplicity of material phenomena. The Upanishads form the recorded body politic of the Vedanta. Most have been lost but some 110 remain of which Shankaracharya had selected 10 and written copious commentary on. Behind this plurality of phenomenal or relative existence lies a unitary spiritual basis whose nature cannot be expressed or defined but which has been in language expressed as the triune of Absolute Existence, Absolute Consciousness and Absolute Bliss integrated into a Singular Whole. It is inconceivable by the finite mind for it is transcendent but the purified intelligence shorn of all desires, all fratured and fracturing thought, can in essence self-behold. Thus us called 'the Atman witnessing the Atman', 'the Self brooding on the Self'. The substratum of the universe is called 'Brahman', although no name abides to this Reality, and the substratum of the individual is called 'Atman', meaning the deepest self or the Self. This Brahman, the essence of the infinite series of universes, collectively called universe here for the sake of simplicity, is the Atman, the spiritual essence of man and of all sentience. There are four Mahāvākyas in the Upanishads which attempt to illustrate the nature of this Atman/Brahman and they are as follows:

1) 'Prajnānam Brahman'---Brahman is Absolute Knowledge;

2) 'Ayamātma Brahman'---This Atman is Brahman;

3) 'Tattvamasi'---That thou art, meaning, you are Brahman;

4) Sarvung khalvidung Brahman---everything is Brahman.

The Vedas are divided into two portions:

a) Karma Kānda or the Work Portion;

b) Jnāna Kānda or the Knowledge Portion.

The former relates to ceremonials, rituals, incantations etc. whereas the latter relates to pure philosophy and that too the highest affirmations humanity has ever seen.

🕉 stands as the dividing line between the Absolute and the Relative and is the seed of creation, preservation and destruction of the universe which has been going on in cyclical manner without beginning and without end, a fact encapsulated by the words 'Anādi srishty, ananta srishty'.

Brahman is a singular that has no plural real counterpart. It is the indivisible essence of things which transcends the triune of space-time-causality but seemingly appears as the manifold universe even as rope appears in the dark mistakenly as a snake, the delusion being dispelled on the awakening oc knowledge which goes by the titular ascription 'Brahmajnāna/Tattvajnana'. It is like a person dreaming in his sleep and witnessing things which he takes to be real but on waking up is dispelled of that delusion. He now knows that it was a dream after all, in essence unreal.

Sugata Bose @Amit Kumar Mukherjee : Sādhanā required on the basis of perfect purity. Continence (brahmacharya) in thought, word and deed in youth necessary for at least a protracted period of twelve years and continuing which results in organic transformation and the opening up of the nerve of spiritual intelligence (medhā nāri) which makes this psychophysical instrument fit for supersensuous perception of the Divine which is the Self (Ātman) within. 🕉

Sugata Bose @Kamala Venkatraman : By ourselves beginning to daily read. The individual ever is the nucleus of a prospective movement. Historically it has been so and so shall it remain. Hence, by ourselves reading religiously his works, we can set in motion a mighty movement overtime which shall catch the wind and influence change that will alter the destiny of this nation. We have with a small group of individuals initiated such a movement and it has been carrying on for a month now, this collective movement of ours. Join in if you will and add fuel to it. 🕉

Sugata Bose @Utpal Chakrabarty: Yes, that is an associated factor in this sādhana as well, a secondary feature in terms of receiving environmental help---primary in the case of association with Divine Incarnations or Avatars, the rarest of rare phenomenon, where divine grace directly, often instantly transforms human consciousness---and flourishing within that atmosphere, but carrying on nonetheless with individual effort providing primary means for achieving advancement in the spiritual path. 🕉

Sugata Bose @Suvadeep Sen : What an irony! What a shame! Each one of us need to actively participate in the grand project of reviving the Bengali language.

Sugata Bose @Abhisek Metya : The demographic danger looming large. Bengal in peril.

Sugata Bose @Utpal Chakrabarty : It is to the political parties in power that one looks for just governance in the country.

Sugata Bose @Utpal Chakrabarty : Here administrative justice is being hinted at, the execution of law in governance instead of its infringement as is the wont in our benighted state these days quite evidently.

Sugata Bose @Utpal Chakrabarty : That is what the junior doctors are protesting against and seeking redress for, which they have termed 'justice'. The administration has failed consistently on multiple counts regarding the R.G.Kar episode which is but the tip of the deep-seated unlawful activity nexus that has drawn public ire in the titular form '#Wewantjustice.

Sugata Bose @Utpal Chakrabarty : That you must tell the junior doctors by meeting them personally and conveying the message with conviction and force enough to convince. Who knows? they may listen to you. Also make sure that you address the vast body of protesting citizens as well and bring them to your sense of civic sanity.

Sugata Bose @Parnika Bubna : Do not imitate the West, western modes and mores, western ideas and ideals, western manners and mannerisms. Be Indian in every sense. To be rooted to one's soil is stability and life; to be transplanted unduly is fragility and death.

Competition must not corrode your career. Let confidence career your life's course. Comparisons are odious and arise from the desire to outwit others and in the process often getting outwitted and thence suffering from complexes. Self-containment and contentment are the way out of this toxic turn of events. We are free and must assert our freedom. We must not live in constant bondage to this world that shifts its allegiance every moment, this faithless harlot that squeezes our vitality dry before dumping us in the deathbin. Why live such a life of constant stress, perennial strain on the self than can never rest in peace under such fluctuating fortunes? Give yourself rest and peace, detached performance of work done not to satiate ambition but for chittashuddhi (purification of the mind-stuff). You will be healthier, happier and fulfilled through this altered course of action. And this is Karma Yoga.

Sugata Bose @Susanta Mullick : Join our VIVEKANANDA READING MOVEMENT and help spread the word through self-absorption and wide propagation. Swamiji must come alive in the life of the polity.

Sugata Bose @Utpal Chakrabarty : Hyper-curiosity about others is bad. Curiosity be better restricted to impersonal subjects for civilisational good.

Sugata Bose @Utpal Chakrabarty : Do not be unduly presumptuous about other's attainments, especially of those who you do not know personally. It is simply bad culture to barge into people's private affairs.

Sugata Bose @Utpal Chakrabarty : Again you are being presumptuous. Without knowing me personally you are simply assuming things. I will not let you be privy to my personal affairs in the least bit. That is my prerogative in maintaining dignity and decency in public fora.

Sugata Bose @Utpal Chakrabarty : I only know that you are terribly uncivil and that you need to rectify stance. I was taught in early childhood not to pry into others' personal affairs by way of maintaining decency of civic culture and I have ever since abided by that norm. Under no circumstance have I violated that parental injunction, nay, wholesome lesson imparted me in my early efflorescence. Swamiji who is my life's polestar has enjoined us not to reveal personal details in public as it is immoral and irreligious to do so. Your abiding interest in my affairs and presumptions about my attainments is a trifle irritating, especially as you persist in such folly despite not receiving my assent to such inquisitiveness. I could have easily argued my point pertinent to the post in another way but chose not to as I thought it more socially relevant to point out that such curiosity about others' affairs which incur their displeasure ought not to be undertaken, especially when one has been exhorted to refrain from it. Hence.

Sugata Bose @Utpal Chakrabarty : You are being presumptuous and utterly uncivil. Anything wholesome for the nation may and must be exhorted by citizens who care for their country and fellow citizens. Individual scholarship or otherwise in such cases is irrelevant.

Sugata Bose @Utpal Chakrabarty : This was by way of making someone, as impervious as he may be to civil reasoning, pervious to my line of thinking.

Sugata Bose @Utpal Chakrabarty : You seem inordinately interested in seemonising me when all that I care about is to awaken my fellow countrymen to their civilisational good. Such absurd interest in my personal affairs is extraneous to the import and implication of the post and betrays a deflection quite unbecoming of one who for all intents and purposes other than this abiding interest in my personal affairs seems a decent enough individual with a wholesome concern for the nation. Better be focused on national affairs than bother me with irritants such as these personal queries which hardly resonate well with a civic conversation.

Sugata Bose @Utpal Chakrabarty : It is my civilisational responsibility that I discharge as a servant of society, the society or samāj which Swamiji has in sublime terms addressed as the shadow of Mahāmāyā, and I shall continue to do so irrespective of carping criticism or caustic comments made by puny people of no better disposition than to do so at anything good undertaken by anyone for national welfare. How does it bother the elephant while passing through the mart when common curs raise their barks, as the celebrated saying goes? Besides you are engaging me in my best-loved vocation, that of writing a series of quick repartee, although it must be admitted that these personal forays of yours are a bit irritating.

Sugata Bose @Utpal Chakrabarty : It is the biggest insult you have in your life made in regard to the great sage, my life's ideal, the god of India, Swami Vivekananda by assuming me even in sarcasm to be his reincarnated being. Better insult me direct than him thus by such unseemly insinuation.

Sugata Bose @Utpal Chakrabarty : Are you my master sitting in judgement over my knowledge about Swamiji? I must say I have indulged you a trifle too long.

Sugata Bose @Debaprasad Bhattacharya : Please visit my profile wall and find these passages from Swamiji instead of relying on your home page to do so, for the latter course will lead to partial discovery of my aforesaid posts which in the full are so pertinent to our mutual mission in awakening the citizenry to the light of Swamiji's message.

Sugata Bose @Subhrajyoti Bhowmick : Progressive Islamisation, though the word 'progressive' as pun is a linguistic punishment inflicted on these ignoramuses who have forgotten their Sanatan roots owing to sustained brainwashing over generations which is the fundamental way of this fanatical faith whose objective is to destroy all other faiths and establish its singular hegemony.

Sugata Bose @Swami Arthobodhananda : Maharaj, with due respect it must be pointed out that your entire write-up, while certainly contentious, is littered with a couple of spelling errors and grammatical and spacing errors galore. Greater punctiliousness and accuracy in execution are deemed necessary for national perfection to be approximated aa is our aspired end. However, I thoroughly endorse your stated view about shallow devotion and online exhibition of such, societal traits that are indicative of degradation of common character and symptomatic of a civilisational downfall, if even temporary, before prophetic intervention restores equilibrium, perchance, as history has repeatedly testified to. Pranām. 🕉

[An amusing conversation :

Debaprasad Bhattacharya @Sugata Bose : Can the Hirakrani tolerate?

Sugata Bose @Debaprasad Bhattacharya : Tolā rate!

Debaprasad Bhattacharya @Sugata Bose Isn't that fixed by the rani herself?

Sugata Bose @Debaprasad Bhattacharya : Rains money in Rani's reign. One was Rāshmoni, the other one Rushmoney.]

Sugata Bose @Ramakant Tiwari : I am supporting. Likeminded ones are supporting as well. But the Shudrayug is on and brāhmanical privilege is going. Hence, a reactionary wave is afoot everywhere as the proletariat, suppressed for ages, gain power. Who can resist this evolutionary tide? Can brāhmans bereft of Sanskrit learning and seeking money or servitude of the capitalists do so? No, karma has its inexorable flow which is inviolable. The collective will will prevail, come what may. The brāhmanical age is gone, the kshatriya age is gone. This vaishya age is on but will not last. It will also go and the shudra age will prevail everywhere. Through all this churn the masses are being liberated. But as quantity increases, quality declines, they being inversely related somehow. So, as the brāhmans and the kshatriyas lose ground, culture declines with the rise of the vaishyas and further precipitates with the rise of the shudras. The task ahead is to arrest this downward decline of culture and civilisation for the sake of preservation at least of what has been best in human heritage. Here the preservation of brāhmanical culture becomes pertinent and to that end it is our responsibility to work without ascribing ulterior political motivations to it or the perfidious aim of securing pecuniary advantages in the classically corrupt way.

Culture must be saved. Else, civilisation will be decimated. Spirituality is the quintessence of culture and the brāhmans as a community of genetically highly endowed people as yet hold the key to it. It is their duty to defend the Sanatan Dharma, pure and simple, and open the gateway to its locked treasures for the masses to gain nourishment from. That will bridge the gap between the upper and lower varnas and those who are devoid of varna. For this the brāhmans must first recover their linguistic heritage, that of Sanskrit learning and then pass on knowledge to the other varnas, most importantly the toiling masses who are the backbone of the race and the nation thereof. It is a civilisational recovery act, a veritable mission to be accomplished, but it must be done if national life and world spirituality is to be saved. 🕉
