TO OBSERVERS WITH LOVE

TO OBSERVERS WITH LOVE

Innocent of the nuances of English, I am being asked by a deliberate reader what the day of the week was when in 1836 on 18 February Sri Ramakrishna was born, as if the words 'this day' means a particular day of the week and not the date as per the Gregorian calendar. For the sake of information let it be made known that it was a WEDNESDAY.

These are days of pretentious piety, spreading ignorance and emboldened rushing into 'where angels fear to tread'. Hence, such misconception, misreading and misguided observations made to test, irritate and irk writers when time may be better spent in pursuing the precepts of the Paramahamsa instead of indulging in personal interests of a lower order which, unfortunately, is more in vogue, especially by those who are, as if by birthright claimants to greater knowledge and proximity to the peerless Paramahamsa than those who have lifelong dedicated themselves to observing the Master's massive mandates and yet seek no privileged attention thereof from the public. Alas, dharma is truly in decline and needs a regeneration from a realm regal in celestial terms!
